Allcomponentsshallbefinishedsmoothandfreefromburrs,splintersorsharpedges.Thebodyshallbewatertight uptoandincludingboiling. 5.2Handle Itshallbepossibletogripthehandleforitsnormalpurposewithoutthehandorfingerscomingintocontactwith anysurfacewhosetemperatureexc

Thehandleorhandgripofthekettleandthelidknobshallbeofamaterialrigidupto150C(EN129831:2000, annexB).Theshapeofthehandleorhandgripshallprovideasecuregriptopreventbackwardandforward slippinginthehandandshallbesodesignedthatitispossibletohandlethekettlewi

34、actualcapacityshallnotbelessthantheclaimedcapacity. 6Furniture 6.1Materials Nospecificrequirementsformaterialsorcombinationsofmaterialsforthemanufactureofwaterkettlefurnitureare giveninthisstandard,butanymaterialusedshallcomplywiththerequirementsoftheappropriatetests. 6.2Properties 6.2.1General Itis

35、nottheintentionthatallthesetestsareconductedinsequence.Exceptwhereotherwisestated,eachtest standsalone. 6.2.2 Fatigueresistance WhenthekettleistestedasdescribedinannexB,ahandleassemblyshallwithstand15000cycles,withoutvisible distortionorlooseningofthehandleoritsfixingsystem. 6.2.3 Thermalhazards Whe

36、nthekettleistestedasdescribedinannexC,thefollowingtemperaturesshallnotbeexceeded: a) uncoatedmetal 55C; b)plastics 70 C; c)wood 89 C; d) ceramic,glass,stone 66C.EN13750:2002(E) 8 Waterkettles,whichdonotcomplywiththerequirementsofthistest,shallcarryawarningtouseappropriate protection. Itshallnotbepos

37、sibletotouch,withasphericalprobeof14mmindiameter,anymetalpartcontainedwithinthe insulatedportionofthefurniture,whichhasatemperatureexceeding55C,whentestedasdescribedinannexC. 7Coatings 7.1General Coatingsmaybedecorative,protectiveorenergyrelated. 7.2 Vitreousenamelonsteelandcastiron 7.2.1 Boilingwat
