11、nd cement, blendedcement, masonry cement, and mortar cement) react with water toharden and will do so under water. Pozzolans (such as coal fly ash, raw,or calcined natural pozzolans) react with lime in the presence ofmoisture. Hydrated lime and lime putty react with carbon dioxide fromthe air. Groun

12、d granulated blast furnance slag, blended cements, andsome pozzolans may exhibit both hydraulic and pozzolanic pressive strength, nthe maximum compressive loadwhich a specimen will support divided by the cross-sectionalarea of the specimen.disturbed sampleany plastic mortar test sample which istaken
