3、e*1.1 This specification2covers aluminum-alloy permanentmold castings designated as shown in Table 1.1.2 This specification is for aluminum-alloy permanentmold castings used in general purpose applications. It may notaddress the mechanical properties, integrity testing, and veri-fication required fo
4、r highly loaded or safety critical applica-tions.1.3 Alloy and temper designations are in accordance withANSI H35.1/H35.1(M). The equivalent unified numberingsystem alloy designations are in accordance with PracticeE527.1.4 Unless the order specifies the “M” specification desig-nation, the material
5、shall be furnished to the inch-pound units.1.5 For acceptance criteria for inclusion of new aluminumand aluminum alloys and their properties in this specification,see Annex A1 and Annex A2.1.6 UnitsThe values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. Th
6、evalues stated in each system may not be exact equivalents;therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other.Combining values from the two systems may result in non-conformance with the standard.1.7 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated
