12、ned to ASME N509 for nuclear power plants andother nuclear applications.This Standard provides a basis for the development of test programs and detailed acceptanceand surveillance test procedures and specifies minimum requirements for the reporting of testresults.This Standard was originally develop

13、ed by the American National Standards Committee N45on Reactor Plants. Following approval by the N45 Standards Committee, the first edition of theStandard was approved on June 19, 1975 by the American National Standards Institute, anddesignated ANSI N510-1975.In 1975, the N45.8 Subcommittee was reorg

14、anized into the ASME Committee on Nuclear Airand Gas Treatment (CONAGT) and began operating under the ASME Procedures for NuclearProjects, which received accreditation January 15, 1976. 33、tion or for any system immediately following inadvertent exposure to solvent, paints, or other organic fumes or vapors which coulddegrade the performance of the adsorbent. 43、delineates the requirements forin-service testing of nuclear air-cleaning systems.Acceptance testing is covered in ASME AG-1. A list ofthe required in-service tests and the minimum perform-ance frequency of these tests are shown in Table 1.4.1 Test ProcedureProcedures shall be prepared for each requ

44、ired test,based upon the requirements of this Standard.4.2 PersonnelOnlypersonswhohavedemonstratedthecompetenceto satisfactorily perform the specific tests in question asevidenced by experience and training shall performtests. Personnel shall be certified in accordance withASME NQA-1 or ANS 3.1 and

45、with the owners designspecifications and quality assurance program.4.3 Instrumentation: PermanentPermanent instrumentation used in the performanceoftestsspecifiedinthisStandardshallmeettheaccuracyrequirements specified in Table 2 and shall be calibratedin accordance with the owners design specificat

46、ionsand quality assurance program.4.4 Instrumentation: PortablePortable instrumentation used in the performance ofthe tests specified in this Standard shall meet the accu-racy requirements specified in Table 2 and shall be cali-brated in accordance with the owners designspecifications and quality as

47、surance program.35 VISUAL INSPECTION5.1 PurposeA visual inspection of the air treatment system, asspecified by the test program, shall be made in conjunc-tion with each test series to identify visual deficienciesprior to commencing tests. In addition, this inspectionmay be used to verify that the sy

48、stem design and con-struction are in accordance with ASME N509.5.2 Summary of MethodVisual inspection shall be performed under a combi-nation of background light plus supplementary lightthat provides adequate illumination of the surface to beinspected.5.3 PrerequisitesConstruction, modification, and

49、/or repairs shall becompleted to the extent of supporting the test series.5.4 Apparatus (Equipment)Supplementarylightprovidingadequateilluminationof the surface to be inspected is required.5.5 ProcedureVisual inspections shall be conducted in accordancewith ASME N511. Whenever “unacceptable” is used, itisintendedtomeananydamageorconditionthatwouldimpair the ability of the item to perform its function.5.6 Acceptance CriteriaInspection results are acceptable when there are noindications of improper installation, physical damage,structural distress, or degradati
