9、ces of ASHRAE. ASHRAE Guidelines are developed under a review process, identifyinga guideline for the design, testing, application, or evaluation of a specific product, concept, or practice. As a guideline it is not definitive butencompasses areas where there may be a variety of approaches, none of
10、which must be precisely correct. ASHRAE Guidelines are writtento assist professionals in the area of concern and expertise of ASHRAEs Technical Committees and Task Groups.ASHRAE Guidelines are prepared by project committees appointed specifically for the purpose of writing Guidelines. The projectcom
11、mittee chair and vice-chair must be members of ASHRAE; while other committee members may or may not be ASHRAE members, allmust be technically qualified in the subject area of the Guideline.Development of ASHRAE Guidelines follows procedures similar to those for ASHRAE Standards except that (a) commi
12、ttee balance isdesired but not required, (b) an effort is made to achieve consensus but consensus is not required, (c) Guidelines are not appealable, and(d) Guidelines are not submitted to ANSI for approval.The Manager of Standards of ASHRAE should be contacted for:a. interpretation of the contents

21、provement and ongoing commissioning.4.3 Systems Manual Documentation Organization4.3.1 The Systems Manual process captures projectrequirements, design and construction documentation, evalu-ation and testing results, and training programs as the infor-mation becomes available. Additionally, the recom
22、mendedoperating and maintenance procedures and ongoing docu-mentation requirements are assembled and included. Changesto the manuals are expected as the building maintenance sys-tems are developed and changes to the systems occur.4.3.2 The Systems Manual should be organized as follows.The six major
23、documentation assembly subjects are labeledas “Parts” of the Systems Manual in this guideline. Theseheadings may also be called sections, chapters, divisions oranother term that is compatible with the project documenta-tion requirements.Part 1. Executive SummaryPart 2.
