Materials used in assembling, marking, and packing of the warhead shall be in accordance with all applicable drawings and specific
5、ations. 3.2 Components and assemblies. Components and assentblies shall comply with all requirements specified on drawing F9283999 and associated drawings, and with all requirements specified in applicable specifications and standards. 3.3 Mechanical properties. Cold-working or heat-treating ( i ncl
6、uding quench i ng-and- tempering , norma li zing , norma li zi ng-and- tempering, annealing, and stress-relieving) operations, shail be performed in such a manner as to produce the specified properties uniformly throughout the entire lot. The contractor shall determine the detailed procedures to pro
7、duce parts meeting the required mechanical properties. These procedures shall be documented and submitted with the first article sample to the Contracting Officer. Changes in these procedures shall also be documented and submitted to the Contracting Officer. free of craters. They shall exhibit chara

The process shall be such as to prevent warpage beyond dimensional requirements. 3.4 Welding. All skin welds shall be reasonably smooth and 3.4.1 Qualification of welders and welding equipment. O
9、nly welders qualified in accordance with Specification MIL-STD-1595 shall. be permitted to weld aluminum components. A complete qualification test for each welder or welding operator in making warhead skins shall consist of making a butt weld qualification test coupon in accordance with Specificatio
10、n MIL-STD-1595. The test coupon shall be of the same type and grade of material and the same thickness to be used in making the longitudinal seam of the warhead skins. The test coupons must satisfactorily pass the test specified in Specification MIL-STD-1595. Welding equipment shall be qualified in
11、accordance with MIL-W-8604. 3.4.2 Material sag. 15、 conditions required. 3.6 Pull test of explosive - assemblies. After the pull test, the gap requirements of the appli-cdfawings shall be met when the assemblies are radiographically examined. 3.7 Functioninp of nose assembly. The nose assembly when disengaged, shall be capaxle of being moved forward
16、 and rotated as required on Drawing 9283999 and returned to the original position and be securely re-engaged without any motion stoppage due to in ter f e rence between parts . -I_ A- - -?- 3.8 Spring embrittlement. Springs which have been treated for embrittleentrelifl show no visual evidence of cr
17、acks and shall not break when pulled to the minimum point of permanent d i s tor ti on. 3.9 Serialization. This specification contains technical provisions for first article inspection. Requirements for the submission of first article sample; by t
19、he contractor shall be as specified in the contract. 3.11 Functioning of center ring test assembly. The center ring test assembly after functioning, shall be examined for proper cutting as evidenced by severing of the forward and aft skin sections and the center ring section. This requirement shall
20、apply at ambient, -25OF + So and 140F - 5O. 3.12 Static detonation of warhead. The warhead, when functioned at ambient temperature, shall evidence proper skin cutting (forward to aft and circumferentially) and center ring cutting as determined by analysis of film coverage and recovered hardware. In
21、addition, all explosive elements in the warhead shall be consumed during functioning. 3.13 Workmanship. All parts and assemblies shall be fabricated and finished in a thorough, workmanlike manner. They shall be free of burrs, chips, sharp edges, cracks, unblended radii, surface defects, dirt, grease
22、, rust, corrosion products, and other foreign matter. The cleaning method used shall not be injurious to any parts, nor shall the parts be contaminated by the cleaning agents. All marking and stamping shall be neat and sharply defined. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspectio
23、ns and standard quality assurance movisions. Unless otherwise mecified herein or in the contract, ihe provisions of MIL-A-48078 shall apply and are hereby made a part of the detail specification. 4.2 CIassiication of inspections. The following types of inspection shall be conducted on this item: a.
