SCOPE 1.1 This specification contains requirements not normally covered by drawings and provides quality assurance provisions for the fabrication and packaging of the metal parts for the Mines: Antipersonnel, BLU-92/B. Antitank, BLU-91/B, and 2. APPLICABLE DOCU

ASTM B 117 Standard Method of Salt Spray (Fog) Testing ASTM E 18 Rockwell Hardness and Rockwell Superficial Hardness of Metallic Mat er i als 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Materials. Materials shall be in accordance with the applicable drawings a

9、nd specifications. 3.2 Components and assemblies. The parts shall comply with all requirements specified on drawings listed in paragaraph 2.1 and associated drawings and with all requirements specified in applicable specifications and standards. 3.3 Salt spray. The designated parts shall withstand e

10、xposure to salt spray when tested as specified in 4.5.2. 3.4 Hardness. The Push-on Fastener, Dwg 9292731, shall pass the hardness test as specified in 4.5.3. 3.5 First article inspection. This specification contains technical provisions for first article inspection. Requirements for the submission o

11、f iirst article samples by the conkractor shali be as specified in the contract. 3.6 Workmanship. All part and assemblies shall be fabricated, and assembled in a thorough, workmanlike manner. They shall be free of burrs, chips, sharp edges, cracks I surf ace defects, dirt, grease, rust, corrosion pr

12、oducts and other foreign matter. Unless otherwise specified herein or in the contract, the provisions of MIL-A-48078 shall apply and are hereby made a part of this detail spe

29、Testing is described in the First Article and Quality Conformance Inspection tables. 4.4.4 Inspection equipment. The inspection equipment (gage) required to perform the inspections and tests prescribed in this specification is identified in the Paragraph Reference/Inspection Method column in the tab

30、les starting with paragraph 4.4.2.1, and the test method paragraph (see 4.5). The contractor shall submit for approval, inspection equipment designs in accordance with the terms of the contract. See Section 6 of MIL-A-48078, and 6.3 here in. 4.5 Test methods and procedures 4.5.1 Salt spray test. The

31、 applicable parts shall be tested in accordance with ASTM-B-117 using a 5% salt solution and with the requirements specified on the applicable drawings and specifications, The rejection criteria shall be as specified in the applicable specifications. Assemblies subjected to this test shall not be re

32、turned to the lot. 4.5.2 Hardness test. A sample of five (5) push-on fasteners shall be selected from each lot or heat treat batch and tested for hardness in accordance with ASTM-E-18. The lo or heat treat batch shall be reject.ed if any sample fails to meet the hardness requirement specified on the

33、 drawing. 5. PACKAGING 5.1 Preservation-packaging. Packaging shall be Level B in accordance with M IL-STD- 11 88. 5.2 Packing. Packing shall be Level B in accordance with MIL-STD-1188. 5.3 Marking. Marking shall be Level B in accordance with MIL-STD-1188. 6. NOTES 6.1 Intended use. The metal parts c

34、overed by this specification are intended for assembly of the BLU-Bl/B Anti-tank, and BLU-92/B Antipersonnel Mines. 6.2 Ordering data. Procurement documents shall specifiy the following: a. Title, number, and date of this specification. b. Provisions of MIL-A-48078. c. Provisions for submission of f
