SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification covers fourrag

In the event of a conflict between the text of this specification and the reference cited herein, the text of this specification shall take precedence. 3. F32QUIREMENTS 3.1 Samples. 3.1.1 Guide sample. Unless otherwise specified (se

13、e 6.2), a guide sample of the finished fourragere shall be urnished for guidance and information only. When variation occurs between the guide sample and this specification; the requirements of this specification shall govern. 3.1.2 Standard samples. 3.1.2.1 Yarn. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2

14、), a standard sample of the stuffer yarns and rayon or nylon yarn for the cover shall be furnished for matching fastness only. 3.1.2.2 Ferrule. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), black ferrule shall be furnished for matching color only. a sample of the 3.2 First article. Unless otherwise specifie

When nylon is used for the cord and loop cover, the yarn shall be continuous fil

The copper base alloy shall be roll polished, free from pits, scale (including red oxide), dents, nicks,

23、 cracks, scratches, segre- gations, and foreign inclusions that will not be removed in later processing. The thread for stitching the buttonhole loop to the plaited cord shall conform to type 1C2, ticket C, 3 ply of V-T-276. 3.4 Color. 3.4,l Yarn. All yarns, including the rayon or nylon cover yarn and cotton The use of

Except for the type I, style 1, class 2 ferrule and ring, all ferrules and rings shall be wheel-polished to a rnirror-like finish. ferrules and rings shall be completely coated with lacquer specified in 3.3.3. When tested as specified in

33、4.4.3.1, there shall be no change in appearance except for a slight yellowing of the highlights. 4.4.3.2, the tissue paper shall not adhere to the ferrule OK ring. With a single piece of braided plaiting cord specified in 3.5.1 begin at one free end, see Figure 1, and by using a buttonhole and laop cord specified in 3.5.2 form a loop 1-3/8 inches (plus or min

39、us) 1/8 inch. Secure loop by stitching and wrapping the free end with not less than ten turns of buttonhole and loop cord for an area of 1 inch (plus or minus) 1/8 inch. From the wrapping there shall be 2-1/4 inches (plus or minus) 1/4 inch of plain braided plaiting cord. The cord shall then be plai

40、ted for 26 inches (plus or minus) 2 inches, using 50 (plus or minus) 2 plaits. The braided plaiting cord shall then be knotted four times at 5 inches (plus or minus) 1/2 inch below the plaited area. The knotted area shall be 1 inch (plus or minus) 1/8 inch in width. cord by stitching through the fou
