1、A-A-50175 October 5, i988 COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION CUP, COMMUNION, PLASTIC The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description in preference to MIL-C-43382. 1. CLASSIFICATION 1.1 Classification. This commercial item description ccjvers two types of commu

2、nion cups as follows: Type I - Plastic disposable . Type II - Plastic, shatterproof, boilable 1.2 Part identification number. The part identification number shall consist of the commercial item description number and the type number as follows: AAXXXX-I 1 I Type CID number 2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS

3、 2.1 Design and construction. Both type communion cups shall be cylindrical in design. The-cups shall measure 1-1/4 inches (plus or minus 1/16 inch) high. The cups may be supp ied with or without a lip at the option of the supplier. Both shall be odorless and conform to the Federal Food, Drug and Co

4、smetic Act, Food Additive Amendment, for contact with food, The type I shall be a commercial grade of clear, uncolored plastic. The type II shall be a commercial grade of clear, uncolored, unfilled, polystyrene molding composition with improved resistance to thermal distortion. 3. QUALITY ASSURANCE

5、3.1 Certification. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics and requirements of this description and conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices. One hundred cups shall be packaged in a plastic bag. . 4.2 Packing, Ten bags of cups shall be packed in a fiberboard shipping container conforming to style RSC, type CF (variety SW) or SF, class domestic, grade 275 of PPP-

9、B-636, Shipping containers shall be closed in accordance with the appendix of PPP-B-636, Each chipping container shall be of a size palletizable in accordance with MIL-STD-147. 4.3 Palletization. When specified (see 5.21, shipping containers shall be palletized in accordance with load type la of MIL

10、-STD-147, shall be bonded with primary and secondary straps in accordance with bonding means K and L, or film bonding means O or P.
