7、d Finishes. 4. TEST METHODS 4.1 Samples for testing shall be selected at random from the manufacturers finished stock and mounted in accordance with the manufacturers instructions. All hardware shall be installed in accordance with manufacturers standard installation instruction. Operational Tests I
8、mmunity Tests Finish Tests No. of Samples One per applicable paragraph Three Two per finish 4.2 Test Door When doors are referenced, the tests shall be performed on 3 ft by 7 ft x 1 3/4 in. (915 x 2134 x 45 mm) minimum wood or metal doors with metal frames. The doors and frames shall be rigid enough
9、 to hold firmly and to withstand the tests outlined. Doors shall be hung on hinges or pivots. Provisions shall be made for mounting appropriate measuring devices. A combined calibration and reading accuracy within 5% shall be required for values indicated for all applicable tests. Reinforcement is p
10、ermitted to be used to prevent deformation of the door when the tests are being applied. 7 4.3 Slam Cycle Test Door Use a door meeting the description of 4.2. Use a door weighing 100 lbs. (45 kg) with the center of gravity located 18 in. (455 mm) from the hinge edge. Install the door in a steel fram
11、e with a 5/8 in. (15.9 mm) stop and mounted in a reinforced structure sufficient to withstand the test parameters. The door shall be installed to ensure door stop contact for the full height of the door. The stop contact surface shall not have any rubber bumpers or other cushioning means such as gas
12、keting. Doors shall be hung on hinges, accurately aligned with vertical pins or on offset or center pivots, With the closer disconnected, the force required to overcome friction or out of balance condition shall be 1/4 lbf. (1.1 N) or less as measured perpendicular to the face of the door at a point
13、 30 in. (762 mm) from pivot center. A size 3 door closer with hinge side mounting, 90 degrees door opening and type C01011, C02011, or C03011 shall be used. 8 5. 15、 Tests For Exit Locks 5.2.1 Normal Exit Test With the door latched, the actuating member shall be depressed by a force not to exceed 15 lbf. (67 N) until the latch clears the strike. The measurement shall be taken at the center and 1.5 in. (38 mm) from each end on the actuating surface perpendicular
16、 to the door in the direction of swing. Portions of the actuating member which are below 30 in. (750 mm) and more than 44 in. (1100 mm) above the floor when installed per the manufacturers templating are exempt from this requirement. Requirements 15 lbf max. (67 N) for all measurement points 5.2.2 C
17、ycle Test Doors shall be opened by pushing on the actuating member. The door shall be required to close and latch by the operation of the door closer except that in the case of a lock with a dead bolt which must be reset before the start of the next cycle. Exit locks shall complete the required numb
18、er of cycles without failure or excessive wear that would impair operation. Requirements 100,000 cycles. At the completion of the test, the exit lock shall meet 5.2.1 and all alarm features shall function as intended 9 5.2.3 Emergency Operation Test Using the setup and procedure in 5.2.1, apply a ho
19、rizontal 250 lbf (1110 N) to the door approximately 3 in. (76 mm) from the latch edge and 40 in. (1020 mm) from the floor in the direction of the door swing. With the door latched, repeat the test in 5.2.1. The actuating paddle shall be depressed by a force not to exceed 50 lbf (220 N) at points as
20、listed in 5.2.1 until the latch clears the strike. Requirements 50 lbf max. (220 N) For all measurement points 5.2.4 Key Cylinder Operation Test Measure the torque to lock and unlock the deadbolt (alarm set) by key from the inside of the door. Also, test the key torque from the outside of the door i
21、f the outside key option is provided with the exit lock. Repeat the operation five times and average the results. The average torque shall not exceed the limits specified. Requirements Maximum: 12 lbf-in (1.36 Nm) 5.2.5 Outside Pull Test A pull force as listed below shall be exerted on the door appr
22、oximately 3 in. (76 mm) from the latch edge and 40 in. (1020 mm) from the floor in an effort to pull the door open. The door shall not open and the device shall function after release of the force. Requirements Pull force: 1200 lbf (5340 N) 5.3 Tests for Alarms 5.3.1 Cycle Test for Alarms Cycle the
23、alarm 1,000 times. A cycle consists of actuating the alarm and resetting the alarm per the intended operation. If battery powered, the batteries are permitted to be replaced during the test as required. Requirements All the alarm features shall function as intended at the end of 1000 cycles. 5.3.2 S
24、lam Test With the alarm mounted on the slam test door fixture, adjust to provide no latching or locking engagement. Use a size 3 overhead door closer with standard arm mounting and all valves fully open. Door closing speed shall be 2.5 seconds or less from 90 degrees open to fully closed with no dec
