23、 storage cylinder shall be protected against excessive pressuree with metal rupture discs conforming to CGA Pamphlet S-1 as shown on figure 2. The rupture disc shall be trie CG-1 of the unbacked, frangible type. The disc bursting pressure shall be 5,000 2 250 psi. 3.8.3.4 Manifold shutoff valves, A

A system recharging valve assembly shall be provided in the manifold piping as shown on figure 2. The system recharging valve assembly shall consist of a recharging valv

The recharging disconnect fitting shall be so mounted that force applied in attaching or removing a recharging hose or while a recharging hose is attached will n

28、ot damag the manifold sys- tem piping. 3.8.3.5.2.2 Protective cap. The recharging disconnect fitting shall be pro- vided with a protective cap that will tightly close and protect the fitting when a recharging hose is not attached. The protective cap shall be attached to the disconnect fitting by a c

29、hain or other device to protect against acci- dental loss. 3.8.4 Servicing system. canpressed gas from the high-pressure storage cylinders and manifold into the system being charged. The servicing system shall consist of a purifier, fil- ter, pressure regulator, and a servicing hose assembly. 3.8.4.

30、1 Purifier cylinder. A purifier cylinder conforming to MIL-(2-4810 shall be provided in the servicing system as shown on figure 2. purifier cylinder shall provide for ready access through the panels specified in 3.8.7.1 for cartridge change and maintenance. The servicing system shall provide for ser

33、ion 4. 3.8.4.3.1 Overpressure relief device. A differential-type, overpressure relief device shall be provided on the law-pressure side of the regulator. The relief device shall start to vent before the downstream pressure reaches 100 psi above any set dead-end pressure up to 3500 psig and flow shal

34、l reach at least 30 scfm before the downstream pressure reaches 400 psi above the dead-end pressure. The relief device shall reseal after venting when the outlet pressure is reduced to not less than the set dead-end delivery pressure. 3.8.4.3.2 Regulator pressure zaaes. The pressure regulator instal

35、lation shall be equipped with a regulator gauge and high and low outlet pressure gages. 3.8.4.3.2.1 Remlator gage. The regulator gage shall be identical to the cyl- inder pressure gages. 3.8.4.3.2.2 not less than 4-1/2 inches shall be provided for indicating the regulator out- let pressure as oham o

38、age. A pressure gage with a dial diameter not less than 4 1/2 inches shall be provided for indicating thez-gulator low outlet pressures as shown on figure 1. The gage shall have a scale range of O to 600 psi, shall be accurate to one-half of 1 percent of full scale, and shall have figure intervals i

39、ndicating each 50 psi increment plus intermediate interval graduations indicating 5 psi increments throughout the entire range. Provisions shall be made to insure against damage to the gage when tbe ser- vicing line is pressurized to 3500 psi. 3.8.4.3.3 Filter screen. A filter screen which will reta

40、in all particles of 200 mesh or larger size shall be provided in the regulator inlet to protect the mechanism. 3.8.4.4 Servicing hose assembly. A servicing hose assembly consisting of a servicing hose, a servicing valve, and a hose extension shall be provided in the servicing system as shown on figu

Unless otherwise specified in the con- tract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements specified herein

43、. the supplier may utilize his own facilities or any comercial laboratory acceptable to the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assuresupplies and services conform to prescribed

44、requirements. Except as otherwise specified, 4.2 shall be classified as follows: Classification of tests. The inspection and testing of the trailer a. Preproduction testing (see 4.4) b. Acceptance tests (see 4.5). 4.3 Test conditions. Unless otherwise specified, tests shall be conducted under ambien

45、t conditions (see 6.3.4). 4.3.1 Instrtnnentation. 4.3.1.1 Pressures. Pressures and pressure differentials shall be measured by means of Bourdon-type gages. Wherever practicable, the gages furnished as part of the trailer shall be utilized. 4.3.1.1.1 Pressures shall be recorded in pounds per square i

46、nch gage . 4.3 .l.Z . Temperatures. Temperatures shall be measured by appropriately located therinaneters or thermocouples used with calibrated potentiometers. 4.3.1.2 1 4.3.1.3 Barometric pressuke. Barometric pressure shall be measured by a properly calibrated mercurial or aneroid barometer. . Temp

47、era tures shall be recorded in degrees Fahrenheit . 4.3.1.4 Gas flow rates. Gas flow rates shall be measured with standardized nozzles or orifices as specified in ASME Power Test Code PTC 19.5:4. 4.3.1.4.1 Gas flow rates shall be recorded as standard (29.92 inches Hg and 700 F) cubic feet per minute
