It is published on green paper for the needs of AECMA-Members. It has been technically approved by the experts of the concerned Te
4、chnical Committee following comment by the Member countries. Subsequent to the publication of this prestandard, the technical content shall not be changed to an extent that interchangeability is afected, physically or functionally, without re-identification of the standard. After examination and sig
5、nature of the AECMA Standard Checking Centre (NPSI and formal agreement of the Official Services of the Member countries it will be submitted as a draft European Standard to CEN (European Committee for Standardization) for formal vote. 8、 the requirements for tempered soda-lime float glass plies which are made from annealed glass either of the universally available type or of high light transmission type. The annealed glass is manufactured by a continuous process for general use. The plies are tempered by either a thermal or chemica
9、l process. 16、ally available float glass is the standard annealed soda-lime glass manufactured by the float process on a bath of tin. 3.2 High light transmission float glass differs from universally available float glass only by its low iron content, giving it high light transmission extending into the near infra
17、-red. High light transmission float glass 3.3 Tempered glass This is a glass in which a compression layer has been induced at the surfaces either by thermal or chemical means. 3.4 Batch A batch is a quantity of production glass plies, tempered as a group under the same process conditions. 3.5 The ef
18、fective diameter of an optical defect is the arithmetic mean of the maximum and minimum dimensions. Effective diameter of non-circular defects 4 Required characteristics 4.1 Composition The glass is of the soda-lime type. The on content of high light transmission glass shall be such that the integra
19、ted white light transmission and transmission at 800 nm is in accordance with the material standards EN 3861 and EN 3862. 4.2 Material Materials according to EN 3861 and EN 3862, shall have been made by the float process. 4.3 Standard thickness See table 1. 1) Other thicknesses may be agreed upon be
