SCOPE1.1 FormThis specification covers a corrosion and heat-resistant nickel alloy in the form of bars, forgings, and stock for forging.1.2 This specification applies to bars 6.00 inches (152 mm) and under in nominal diameter or least distance bet
7、ween parallel sides, and to forgings 6.00 inches (152 mm) and under in nominal radial thickness (See 8.5).1.3 ApplicationThese products have been used typically for parts requiring high strength up to 1600 F (871 C) and oxidation resistance up to 1800 F (982 C), but usage is not limited to such appl

16、INTERNATIONAL AMS5915 Page 3 of 73.2 Melting PracticeAlloy shall be multiple melted using vacuum induction melting followed consumable electrode remelting.3.3 ConditionThe product shall be supplied in the following condition:3.3.1 Bars and ForgingsSolution heat treated and descaled. Round bars shall
17、 be ground or turned.3.3.2 Stock for ForgingAs ordered by the forging manufacturer.3.4 Heat Treatment Bars and forgings shall be solution heat treated by heating to a temperature within the range of 2000 to 2125 F 25 (1093 to 1162 C 14), holding at heat for a time commensurate with cross-sectional t
18、hickness, and cooling at a rate equivalent to an air cool or faster. Pyrometry shall be in accordance with AMS2750.3.5 Properties The product shall conform to the following requirements:3.5.1 Bars and Forgings 3.5.1.1 As Solution Heat Treated 3.5.1.1.1 Average Grain SizeShall be ASTM No. 2.5 or fine
19、r, determined in accordance with ASTM E 112.3.5.1.1.2 HardnessShall be not higher than 30 HRC or equivalent (See 8.2), determined in accordance with ASTM E 18. Product shall not be rejected on the basis of hardness if the tensile property requirements of 3.5.1.2.1 are acceptable, determined on speci
20、mens taken from the same sample as that with nonconforming hardness, or from another sample with similar nonconforming hardness.3.5.1.2 After Precipitation Heat TreatmentSpecimens from product shall have the following properties after being precipitation heat treated by heating to 1850 F 15 (1010 C
21、8), holding at heat for 2 hours (15 minutes) and cooling at a rate equivalent to cooling in air or faster to ambient temperature, followed by heating to 1450 F 15 (788 C 8), holding at heat for not less than 8 hours (15 minutes), and cooling at a rate equivalent to cooling in air.3.5.1.2.1 Tensile P
22、ropertiesThe following requirements apply to bars 6.00 inches (152 mm) and under in nominal diameter or least distance between parallel sides, and to forgings 6.00 inches (152 mm) and under in nominal radial thickness. Requirements apply in the longitudinal direction.3.5.1.2.1.1 Mechanical property
