Abstract. This commercial item description (CID)

2、covers an applicator for applying controlled amounts of insecticide bait. operated with one hand and operates on the same principle as the construction caulking gun. Tips shall be provided in 2 types; metal for normal use and plastic (non-conductive material) for use around electrical circuits and equipment. 5. Carrving case

12、 brown, green or silver as specified in the contract. 7. Workmanship. The finished applicators shall be clean and free from burrs, slivers, sharp edges, or rough die, tool gouge or grind marks. Holes for bolts screws, rivets, or threaded fasteners shall be accurately punched or drilled. Rivets shall

13、 be tight with the heads in full contact with riveted members. The parts shall mate properly without excessive play. that affect appearance or serviceability. There shall be no defects 8. Comvarabilitv. Applicators and reservoirs provided shall be equal and comparable to products provided by Special

14、ity Products, Inc., a Division of EFD, Inc . Qualitv assurance provisions. 1. Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Unless disapproved by the Government, except

15、as otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein. 2. Responsibilitv for compliance. The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as quality conformance inspection

16、 for compliance. 3. Qualitv conformance inspection. The quality conformance inspection shall be performed on sample applicators and reservoirs selected in accordance with the inspection lot and sampling requirements specified in the contract. inspection shall include examination and operational test

17、s as specified herein. This 4. Inspection lot. All units offered to the Government at one time shall be considered a lot for purposes of inspection. A sample unit shall be one complete applicator with reservoirs with a combined volume of 200 mL of bait material. 5. Examination. Each sample selected

18、in accordance with the inspection lot and sampling requirements shall be examined for compliance with the salient characteristics requirements specified herein. Noncompliance with any specified requirements or presence of one or more defects preventing or lessening maximum efficiency shall co

20、nstitute cause for rejection. a 6. Operational test. When operated in various operating positions, the applicator shall dispense bait material and shut off as specified in the requirements section. Contractor certification. substantiating evidence that the product offered meets the salient character

21、istics of this CID and that the product conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisi

22、ons of the contract. The contractor shall certify and maintain Metric products. Products manufactured to inch-pound units will be considered on an equal basis with those manufactured using metric dimensions, provided they fall within specified tolerances using conversion tables concained in the late

23、st revision of FED-STD-376, and all other requirements of this CID are met. Note: If a product is manufactured to inch-pound units and those dimensions exceed the tolerances specified in the metric dimensions, a request should be made to the contracting officer to determine if the product is accepta

24、ble. The contracting officer has the option of accepting or rejecting the product. Regulatory requirements. materials in accordance with Public Law 94-580 to the maximum extent practicable.
