ITU-T G.872 (2012)/Amd.1 (11/2013) FOREWORD The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is the United Nations specialized agency in the field of telecommunications, information and communication technologies (ICTs). The ITU Telecommuni
11、cation Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of ITU. ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Assembl
12、y (WTSA), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T study groups which, in turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of ITU-T Recommendations is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSA Resolution 1. In some areas of information technology which
13、fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with ISO and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administration“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and a recognized operating agency. Compliance with this
14、 Recommendation is voluntary. However, the Recommendation may contain certain mandatory provisions (to ensure, e.g., interoperability or applicability) and compliance with the Recommendation is achieved when all of these mandatory provisions are met. The words “shall“ or some other obligatory langua
15、ge such as “must“ and the negative equivalents are used to express requirements. The use of such words does not suggest that compliance with the Recommendation is required of any party. 20、t 1 1) Introduction This amendment contains extensions to the third version (10/2012) of Recommendation ITU-T G.872 which relate to: the use of the black link approach defined in ITU-T G.698.1 and ITU-T G.698.2 in the context of an OTN network. 2) Changes 2.1) Additions to clause 4 Add the following
21、 abbreviations to clause 4: OCC Overhead Communications Channel OCN Overhead Communications Network 2.2) Clause 8.4.2 Replace the text of the first paragraph of clause 8.4.2 with the following: The media channel is a topological construct that represents both the path through the media and the resou
22、rce (frequency slot) that it occupies. A media channel is bounded by ports on media elements. A media channel can span any combination of network elements and fibres. A media channel may not be capable of supporting any OCh-P signal. The size of a media channel is specified by its effective frequenc
23、y slot, which is described by its nominal central frequency and its slot width ITU-T G.694.1. The effective frequency slot of a media channel is that part of the frequency slots of the filters along the media channel that is common to all of the filters frequency slots. The parameters “n“ and “m“ as
24、 defined in clause 7 of ITU-T G.694.1, are used to describe the effective frequency slot with the exception that n and m (for cases where the n value of the constituent filters frequency slots are not all the same) may have a granularity of 0.5 rather than being integers.
