1、Test ProcedureLaboratoryGME14440Stalled Motor Test1 IntroductionNote: Nothing in the specification supersedes appli-cable laws and regulations.Note: In the event of a conflict between the Eng-lish and the domestic language, the English languageshall take precedence.1.1 Purpose. The purpose ofthis te

2、st is to determinethe effect a stalled electrical motor will have on theelectrical circuit.1.2 Foreword. The resulting current from a stalledelectrical motor can be considerably higher than nor-mal operating current. In the event that a motor shallbe stalled, the circuit must be capable of withstand

3、ingthe current. All motors in a car shall be tested. Forexample: power window, power seat, fan motor, cool-ing fan motor, wiper motors, power mirrows.1.3 Applicability. For all motors used in a vehicle.1.4 Definitions. Not applicable.2 ReferencesNote: Only the latest approved standards are appli-cab

4、le unless otherwise specified.None.3 Resources3.1 Facilities. Fixtures as required to stall variousmotors on vehicle.3.2 Equipment. Replacement fuses.3.3 TestVehicle/TestPiece. Test vehicle with max-imum content.3.4 Test Time. One or two days are required.3.5 Test Required Information. Not applicabl

Not applicable.4 Procedure4.1 Preparation.4.1.1 Make a list of all electrical motors on vehicle.4.1.2 Device a fixture (if necessary) to stall eachmotor on list.4.1.3 Ensure that the battery is fully charged.4.1.4 At this test the car is not started.4.1.5 A power supply uni

6、t shall be connected in par-allel to the car battery. The powersupply voltage shallbe regulated as described in paragraph 6.4.2 Conditions.4.2.1 Environmental Conditions. Unless otherwisespecified the test shall be performed at (+23 5) C.4.2.2 Test Conditions. Deviations from the require-ments of th

7、e test procedures shall have been agreedupon. Such requirements shall be specified on com-ponent drawings, test certificates, reports etc.4.3 Instructions.4.3.1 The power supply voltage shall be regulated to14.5 V in case the test is performed with motors thatonly operate with engine running.4.3.2 T

8、he power supply voltage shall be regulated to12.0 V in case the test is performed with motors thatalso operate with engine is not running (Ignition ON /OFF).4.3.3 When the fixture is applied to the motor, turnpower on to that motor for (at least) 20 s.4.3.4 Inspect circuit ( wires, motor, fuses, plu

9、gs, etc.)and note for damage and/or malfunction. All resultsshall be recorded on data sheets.5Data5.1 Calculations. Not applicable.5.2 Interpretation of Results. Each individual cicuitshall be capable of withstanding the current involvedwhen the motor is in stall condition. The fuse shallbe the only

10、 component to be damaged. Record allcomponents replaced including fuses. Also recordany visual and/or operative damage.5.3 TestDocumentation.
