SCOPE This standard applies to diamonds used as tools to remove hard material, alter shag? or size, produce a desired surface or accuacy of dimension, or a combination of these objectives. 2. PURPOSE To establish uniform nom

2、enclature and the quality level of indubtrial diamonds set forth on Ford procurement for diamond tools. 3. 3、f an industrial diamond is classified by using a series of numbers that define the shape, structure and surface to meet specific requirements. 4.1 Diamond Grades 4.1.1 1 Quality is defined as a stone of specified shape whose structure is sound, whole, free of inclusions or cracks and the surface of

4、which must be smooth, it may be shiny or dull, but must be clear or transparent. is defined as a stone of specified shape whose structure is free of definite flaws and the surface may be smooth or rough but must not show evidence of having a broken surface of structural flaws. A knotty or twisted in

11、requirements : 4.3.1.1 A Quality shall have a minimum of eight good sharp points capable of being reset seven times. shall have a minim of six good sharp points capable of being reset five times. shall have a minimum of four good sharp points capable of being reset three times. shall have a minimum
