2、aluate the thermal stability of lubricants regarding it physical chemical properties Apparatus required Analytical balance Accuracy of +/- 0.1 g, Sartorius CP 224-5 or equivalent Oven Accuracy of +/- 2 C, Nova tica 400-200200-220 or equivalent Beakers 02 units, Capacity 400mL, Berzelius short form,

3、Pyrex 1060-400 Viscometer Cannon CT 1000 02 tubes 200 # 9721 B65 and 9721 F65 Conditioning and Test Conditions All test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity for not less than 24h prior to testing and tested

4、 under same conditions unless otherwise specified. Procedure 1. In a 400mL beaker, weight 180 +/- 1 g of sample. 2. Register the weight value. 3. Determine viscosity 100 C (cSt). 4. Condition the open flak containing the sample in an oven for 72 hours +/- 5 minutes at 120 +/- 2 C. 5. Close the flask

5、. 6. Let the sample rest in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C for 24h. 7. Open the flask, weight the sample and register. 8. Calculate the evaporation lost by the weight difference. 9. Transfer the sample to another flask and evaluate the sample aspect. 10. Register the appearance of solids depo

6、sits. 11. Determine viscosity 100 C (cSt) 12. Calculate viscosity increase by the difference of viscosity values before and after conditioning procedure. Chemicals, materials, parts, and equipments referenced in this document must be used and handled properly. Each part is responsible for determining the proper use and handling in its facilities
