SCOPE

2、This specification establishes product requirements for an automotive gasoline stabilizer. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used as an initial fill gasoline additive to provide increased protection against oxidation of gasoline and corrosion of fuel system parts

3、. This material is also suitable for service use. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1 VISCOSITY, at 40 C1.1 - 1.3 mm2/s (ISO 3104/AST

4、M D 445) 3.2 SPECIFIC GRAVITY 0.87 - 0.91 (ISO 3675/ASTM D 1298) 3.3 FLASH POINT, min 65 C (ASTM D 56) 3.4 POUR POINT, max -30 C (ISO 3016/ASTM D 97) 3.5 CERTIFICATION Supplier shall certify that the material is a formula that has been tested and meets Ford Motor Company requirements as stated in th

5、ese specifications. Technical evidence of these data and manufacturing limits must be tabulated on the attached form. This certification shall be by the suppliers director of research or other authorized official and submitted to the responsible Ford purchasing activity. This information will then b

6、e forwarded to the Materials Activity of the Engine Product Engineering Office or to the product engineering office responsible for source approval. 5. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for assistance and clarification and does not represent requirements to this specificati

7、on. This material represents a potential fire hazard. The Manufacturing Engineering Department shall notify both the Plant Security and the Safety Units of its presence in the Plant to assure that proper fire precautions are provided. The location in which it is used or stored shall be included in the notifications.
