REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Fire and casualty hazards, 3.1.1 Prior to delivery, the contractor shall submit proof to the contracting agency th

The label or listing of the UL may be accepted as evidence that the equipment conforms to this requirement. 3.1.2 In lieu of the label or listing, the

12、contractor may submit in- dependent proof satisfactory to the contracting agency, prior to delivery, that his equipment conforms to UL Standards. does not absolve the contractor from complete compliance wih the require- ments of this specification in order to secure the acceptance of this commodity.

Materials shall conform to the applicable requirements . 3.3 Design and construction. The water bath shall be a low temperature The 3.3.1

16、 Cabinet. The cabinet shall be a spot welded assembly of a frame stamping, a top stamping, and a ground clip, together with the necessary angles and weld nuts. The frame and top stampings shall be fabricated of no. 22 (.O31 inch) U.S. Standard Gauge 18-8 stainless steel sheets. The exterior of the c

17、abinet shall be finished in a no. 4 or brush finish. 3.3.2 Heating element. The-strip heater shall be attached in the well of the cabinet with screws and shall be spatially suspended by spacers. strip heater shall be rated at 211 watts plus or minus 10 percent at 115 volt, 60 hertz alternating curre

18、nt. The heater shall consist of nickel chromium alloy wire, imbedded in compressed refractory material and enclosed in a chrome steel housing. The 3. The on-off switch shall be a four position, double pole, single throw, rotary switch with a 15 ampere, 125 volt alternating current rating and shall serve as a total disconnecting switch. An on-off switch knob shall be keyed to the switch and imprinted “ON-OFF-ON-OFF“ at

20、the four reciprocating positions of. the switch. 3.3.4 Thermostat. The thermostat shall be of the strut-type construction and shall be enclosed in a stainless steel case. The thermoswitch shall be mounted on the wall of the cabinet well and the adjusting stem shall protrude through an elongated hole

21、 in the front panel of the cabinet. The thermoswitch shall have a 10 ampere, 155 volt AC rating. 3.3.5 Dial. The dial may serve a multiple function as a temperature reference and as anidentification nameplate (see 3.7). thermoswitch stem and shall be mounted on the front panel of the cabinet. temper

31、in support attached ta the bottom of the well. The basin shall be lightly forced forward and into mechanical contact with the thermoswitch by two pair of slots at the rearward part of the well. When the material between the slots is deformed, the spring action shall exert and maintain sufficient for

32、ce to hold the basin against the thermoswitch, inch in diameter. The thermometer shall be graduated from O to 22OoF, engraved in 2O divisions and numbered every 20 degrees. A rubber washer shall be placed over the thermometer to abut with the button top and a rubber tube shall be placed pro- tective

33、ly over the mercury bulb. , The thermometer shall be suspended in the loop of the thermometer holder which shall be rotatably adjustable in the attached 18-8 stainless steel holder support. The positioning of the thermometer in the holder shall allow for adequate immersion of the bulb in the properl

The water bath shall be capable of withstanding, without failure, the dielectric test specified in 4.5,2. 3.4.2 Temperature control. The thermoswitch knob shall be adjustable to com- pensate for differences between the d

The pre- 1 iminary manuals shall be submitted sufficiently early to permit adequate review by the Directorate of Medical Materiel, Defense Personnel Support Center (based on a maximum period of 30 days for such review) and to allow incorporation

42、by the contractor of any required revisions and corrections in the final manual without delaying delivery under the contract or purchase order. In addition, the Contract0 shall furnish 15 copies of the approved technical. manual to the Contracting Officer for distribution. Should the supplier have f

43、urnished acceptable manuals for the identical item within two years preceding the date of the contract and propose to furnish manuals identical with those previously accepted, then the requirements for review of drafts and submission of 15 additional copies may be waived upon request to the Contract

Welds shall be clean and free from cracks and other imperfections. properly formed and tightened. The drawings forming a part of this specification are specifi- cation co

48、ntrol drawings. The supplier shall be responsible for preparing his own shop drawings. Where tolerances prescribed could cumulatively recul t in improper design, the supplier shall provide a product with dimensions within the tolerances prescribed on the drawing to insure proper design, function, fi

49、t, assembly, and operation of the item. No deviation from the prescribed dimensions or tolerances1 is permissible without prior approval of the contracting officer.
