Abstrac t. motor driven sprayer for applying ultra-low volume (ULV) insecticide form

2、ulations for food warehouses and other indoor storage areas. This comercial item description describes a cart mounted electric Salient characteristics. Electrical The sprayer shall operate from a 115 volt, 60 hertz, with a maximum current draw of 20 amps. The power cord shall not be less than 25 fee

3、t in length and shall be of 3 wire grounded construction. The wiring to the main on-off control shall be a minimum of 12 American Wire Gage (AWG) with slow blow fusing at 25 amperes. Intermediate wiring from time controls to motorized components shall be a minimum of 16 AWG. Fuses, reset circuits (l

4、ine filters), and input power cable shall be wired to an intermediate junction box. The sprayer shall be made of aluminum or steel, which is is pesticide corrosion resistant, and mounted on a rectangular frame. The overall dim

6、ensions shall be no less than 2.5 feet wide, 4 feet long, and 4 feet high. A ULV nozzle and a blower fan shall be mounted inside a cylindrical drum no less than 2 feet in diameter and 3.5 feet long. The drum shall be capable of adjustment from a horizonal position to a 30 degree tilt. The nozzle and

7、 a blower fan shall be mounted internally in the drum. The frame shall have two straight bicycle-type handles with hand grips, two 20 inch bicycle type wheels, a 6 inch front center swivel wheel, mounting brackets for the compressor and motor, insecticide pump electric timers, and insecticide tank.

8、There shall be two 24-hour electric timers (one for the fan motor and one for the compressor) and a stop/start motor control. The pump shall be a reciprocating piston metering type and must be capable of accurately dispersing 1-4 ounces/minute of insecticide with an accuracy of rr5 percent, The inse

9、cticide tank capacity shall be at least one gallon. Preformance. The sprayer must be capable of an adequate overnight treatment of a warehouse that has at least 500,000 cubic feet with a ULV formulation of insecticide. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. The c

13、ontractor shall certify and maintain Metric products. considered on an equal basis with those manufactured using inch/pound units, provided they fall within specified tolerances using conversion tables contained in the latest revision of Federal Standard No. 376, and all other requirements of this C

14、omercial Item Description are met. 16、so long as the requirements of this description are met. 0 The offeror/contractor shall comply, and be responsible for compliance by their subcontractors/suppl iers, with the requirements of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act; Occupational Safety and Health Act; and all other applicable Federal

Unless otherwise specified, one each sprayer shall be packaged into a single wooden box with adequate cushioning, blocking, and bracing. Preservation, packaging, and packing shall affo

18、rd protection to preclude damage to containers and or contents under normal shipping, handling, and storage, and shall conform to applicable carriers rules and regulations.
