9、 spectacle frame; b) the symbols used to designate the luminous transmittances of photochromic lenses have been changed (Table 1); c) tint descriptions and the attribution to luminous transmittance categories have been specified (Sub-clause 6.2 and Table 2); d) tolerances on luminous transmittance o

10、f tinted lenses have been specified (Subclause 6.2.2); e) some changes have been made to the categories for luminous transmittance and the related permissible transmittance in the ultraviolet solar spectral range (Table 2); f) the spectral transmittance requirements of spectacle lenses intended for

11、road use and driving have been transferred from DIN EN ISO 14889:2009 to this standard (Subclause 6.3) and some changes have been made to the relative visual attenuation coefficients for recognition/detection of signal lights (Sub-clause 6.3.5); g) some changes have been made to the requirements for

12、 polarizing spectacle lenses (Subclause 6.4.2) and the related test methods, among others, test methods for polarizing spectacle lenses (Subclause 7.6); DIN EN ISO 8980-3:2014-03 3 h) the spectral distribution of radiation emitted by LED signal lights (Annex D, informative) has been added, whereas t

13、he spectral distribution of radiation emitted by incandescent signal lights was already included in the former DIN EN ISO 8980-3 (Annex A); the spectral data in Annex A are now given with 5 nm step width instead of 10 nm and are based on new measurements; i) the description of the apparatus and the

14、procedure for determining the resistance to radiation have been rendered more precise (Subclause 7.7 and Annex C); j) the standard has been editorially revised and normative references have been updated; k) the text of ISO 8980-3:2013 has been adopted in its entirety.
