The series comprises three groups describing: methods of test (IEC 60851); specifications (IEC 603

22、17); packaging (IEC 60264). 1 Scope This part of IEC60264specifies the requirements for spool containers made from thermoplastic material and used for taper barrelled delivery spools. 2 Normative references The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, c

23、onstitute provisions of this part of IEC 60264. For dated references, subsequent amendments to, or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. IEC 60264-4-2:1992, Packaging of winding wires Part 4: Methods of test Section 2: Containers made from thermoplastic material for taper barrelled delivery spools. 3 Material The spool containers shall be made from thermoplastic

26、material (for example modified polystyrene) that satisfies the requirements given in this standard. 4 Type designation Spool containers according to this standard shall beidentified by the spool type as specified in IEC60264-3-4, for example: spool container 60264-3-5/IEC 250/400. 5 Requirements For

27、 test methods, see IEC 60264-4-2. 5.1 Surface and markings 5.1.1 Surface The surface of the spool container and the wire take-off opening shall be smooth and free from protruding material. 5.1.2 Markings Each spool container shall have embossed and/or engraved marking, located on the outer surface,

28、containing the following information: a) the type designation of the spool container (forexample 60264-3-5/IEC 250/400); b) name and/or trade mark of the container manufacturer; c) year of manufacture; d) the nominal mass of the spool container in grams. 5.2 Mass The mass of the spool container shal

29、l comply with the values given in Table 1. 32、s 5.6.2 After elevated temperature The spool container shall be loaded with a load givenin Table 3 and conditioned at a temperature of(70 3) C. The angle ! shall be 30 and the distance a shall be as given in Table 3. The maximum deformations of the dimensions given in IEC60264-3-4shall be agreed upo

33、n between manufacturer and user.
