The measure
3、ments were derived originally from the 1972 Voluntary ProductStandard PS 54-72 by the U.S. Department of Commerce National Bureau of Standards.21. Scope1.1 These tables list body measurements of girls, sizes 7 to16. Although these are body measurements, they can be usedas a baseline in designing app
4、arel for girls in this size rangewhen considering such factors as fabric type, ease for bodymovement, styling, and fit.1.2 These tables list body measurements for Slim andRegular. Slim subjects are of same stature (height), with aslimmer body, and lower body weight than regular subjects asillustrate
5、d by the measurement charts.1.3 The values stated in either acceptable SI units orinch-pound units shall be regarded separately as standard. Thevalues stated in each system may not be exact equivalents;therefore, each system must be used independently of the other,without combining values in any way

Significance and Use4.1 The use of the body measurement information in Tables1-4 will assist manufacturers in developing patterns andgarments that are consi
9、stent with the current anthropometriccharacteristics of the population of interest. This practiceshould in turn reduce or minimize consumer confusion anddissatisfaction related to apparel sizing. (Also refer to ISO3635 Size Designation Procedures.)5. Apparatus5.1 Tape Measure, dimensionally stable a
10、nd approximately15-mm (12-in.) wide and accurately graduated in mm (116-in.)increments.5.2 Scale, standard, calibrated body weight type.6. Procedure6.1 General:6.1.1 For all vertical and most horizontal measurements,subject is to be standing erect without shoes and with feetapproximately 15-cm (6-in
