Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.INTRODUCTIONThese tables were developed from data published by various research organizations. This standardtakes into consideration infa
3、nts growth patterns reflected in the 2002 charts for the National Centerfor Health Statistics,2the 1977 Anthropometric Study of U.S. Infants and Children conducted by theUniversity of Michigan,3AnthroKids, Anthropometric Data of Children4, and the 2000 CDC GrowthCharts for the United States.5All sud
4、den shifts of proportion have been eliminated so as to reflect thegradual growth and development of the infant. To verify the proposed body measurements, athree-dimensional Avatar was created in the size range by Alvanon Inc.6for a visual reference and isdisplayed in the documentation.l1. Scope1.1 T
5、hese tables list body measurements of infants sizes.Although these are body measurements, they can be used as abaseline in designing apparel for infants in this size range whenconsidering such factors as fabric type, ease for body move-ment, styling, and fit.1.2 These tables list body measurements f
6、or the completerange of infant sizing.1.3 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound unitsare to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated ineach system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, eachsystem must be used independently of the other, withoutcombining values in any way

18、cervicale at the back and the top of thecollarbone at the front.6.2.4 Chest/Bust GirthMeasure the horizontal circumfer-ence around the body, taken under the arms and across thefullest part of the chest/bust apex including the lower portion ofthe shoulder blades.6.2.5 Waist GirthMeasure the minimum h
