Scope1.1 The thermophysical property tables for ethane are foruse in the calculation of the pressure-volume-temperature(PVT), thermodynamic, and transpo
3、rt properties of ethane forprocess design and operations. Tables are provided for gaseousand liquid ethane at temperatures between 92 and 600 K atpressures to 20 MPa. One table provides properties at theconditions of liquid-vapor equilibrium (saturation properties).The other table provides propertie
4、s at selected T, p points forthe equilibrium phase at those conditions. The tables weredeveloped by the National Institute of Standards and Technol-ogy from a Standard Reference Database product REFPROP,version 8.0.1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded asstandard. No other units of me
5、asurement are included in thisstandard.2. Applicability2.1 These tables apply directly only to pure gaseous ethane.However, it is expected that they may find substantial use inmathematical models and tables for the thermophysical prop-erties of mixtures containing ethane.3. Tables3.1 These thermophy
6、sical property tables are:3.1.1 Thermophysical Properties of Coexisting Gaseous andLiquid Ethane, in SI units. See Table 1.3.1.2 Thermophysical Properties of Ethane Along Isobars,in SI units. See Table 2.3.2 The tabulated thermophysical properties are:r, molar density (moll-1)H, molar enthalpy (Jmol
7、-1)S, molar entropy (JK-1mol-1)Cv, constant volume molar heat capacity (JK-1mol-1)Cp, constant pressure molar heat capacity (JK-1mol-1)c, speed of sound (ms-1)h, viscosity (Pas)l, thermal conductivity (mWm-1K-1)3.3 These tables were produced by equations from a com-puter package, “NIST Standard Refe
8、rence Database 23; Ref-erence Fluid Thermodynamic and Transport Properties Data-base (REFPROP): Version =8.0” A wide selection of units (SIunits, engineering units, chemical units) is available with thisprogram.24. Additional Information4.1 Reference state properties are required to calculatecertain
9、 of the thermodynamic properties (enthalpy, entropy,etc.) from an equation of state formulation. The reference stateproperties used to generate the tables in this specification are:enthalpy, H, and entropy, S, at 298.15 K and 0.101325 MPa(H = 11874.2 J/mol and S = 221.116 J/(mol K). The molarmass of
10、 ethane is 30.069 g/mol.5.
