Scope1.1 The thermophysical property tables for methane are foruse in the calculation of the pressure-volume-temperature(PVT), thermody
3、namic, and transport properties of methanefor process design and operations. Three tables are provided forgaseous and liquid methane at temperatures between 90 K and600K at pressures to 30 MPa. Two tables provide properties forthe liquid and vapor phases at liquid-vapor equilibrium (satu-ration prop
4、erties). The third table provides properties at se-lected T, p points for the equilibrium phase at those conditions.The tables were developed by the National Institute of Stan-dards and Technology from a Standard Reference Databaseproduct REFPROP, version 9.0.1.2 This international standard was deve
5、loped in accor-dance with internationally recognized principles on standard-ization established in the Decision on Principles for theDevelopment of International Standards, Guides and Recom-mendations issued by the World Trade Organization TechnicalBarriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.2. Applicability2
6、.1 These tables apply directly only to pure gaseous meth-ane. However, it is expected that they may find substantial usein mathematical models and tables for the thermophysicalproperties of mixtures containing methane.3. 8、ume molar heat capacity (JK-1mol-1)Cp= constant pressure molar heat capacity (JK-1mol-1)c = speed of sound (ms-1) = viscosity (Pas) = thermal conductivity (mWm-1K-1)3.5 These tables were produced by equations from a com-puter package, “NIST Standard Reference Database 23; Ref-erence Fluid Thermodyna
9、mic and Transport Properties Data-base (REFPROP): Version 9.0.” A wide selection of units (SIunits, engineering units, chemical units) and additional prop-erties are available with this program.24. Additional Information4.1 Reference state properties are required to calculatecertain of the thermodyn
10、amic properties (enthalpy, entropy,etc.) from an equation of state formulation. The reference stateproperties used to generate the tables in this specification are:enthalpy, H, and entropy, S, at 298.15 K and 0.101325 MPa(H = 10018 J mol and S = 186.266 J/(mol K). The molar massof methane is 16.043
