Terminology3.1 Definitions:3.1.1 For definitions of terms related to copper and copperalloys, refer to Terminology B 846, unless otherwise stated.3.1.2 stock, nstraight lengths that are mill cut and storedin advance
8、of orders. They usually are 10, 12, or 20 ft (3.05,3.66, or 6.10 m) in length and subject to established lengthtolerances.4. Ordering Information4.1 Orders for products shall include the following informa-tion:4.1.1 ASTM designation and year of issue, that is,B 706XX.4.1.2 UNS designation, that is,
9、C69100.4.1.3 Temper (see Section 7).4.1.4 Dimensions, diameter, and wall thickness.4.1.5 How furnished: straight lengths or coils.4.1.6 Finish.4.1.7 Total length, or number of pieces, of each size.4.1.8 Total weight, each size.4.1.9 When product is purchased for agencies of the U.S.government.4.2 Th
10、e following options are available and shall be in-cluded in the contract or purchase order when required.4.2.1 Heat identification or traceability details.4.2.2 Electromagnetic (eddy-current) examination.4.2.3 Expansion test.4.2.4 Flattening test.4.2.5 Certification.4.2.6 Mill test report.5. Materia
11、ls and Manufacture5.1 Material:5.1.1 The material of manufacture shall be cast or extrudedshells of Copper Alloy UNS No. C69100 of such purity andsoundness as to be suitable for processing into the productsprescribed herein.5.1.2 In the event heat identification or traceability isrequired, the purch
12、aser shall specify the details desired.NOTE 1Because of the discontinuous nature of the processing ofcastings into wrought products, it is not always practical to identify aspecific casting analysis with a specific quantity of finished material.1This specification is under the jurisdiction ofASTM Co

16、inished product.5.2.2 The product shall be hot or cold worked to the finishedsize, and subsequently, annealed, when required, to meet thetemper properties specified.6. Chemical Composition6.1 The material shall conform to the chemical compositionrequirements specified in Table 1.6.2 These compositio
17、n limits do not preclude the presenceof other elements. Limits may be established and analysisrequired for unnamed elements by agreement between themanufacturer and purchaser.6.3 For Alloy UNS C69100 where zinc is listed as “remain-der,” zinc is the difference between the sum of results of allelemen
18、ts determined and 100 %. When all elements in Table 1are determined, the sum of results shall be 99.5 % minimum.7. Temper7.1 The tempers for products described in this specificationshall be in accordance with Table 2.7.1.1 TB00 (soft-annealed),7.1.2 TF00 (precipitation-hardened), and7.1.3 HR50 (draw
19、n stress relieved).8. Physical Property Requirements8.1 Electrical Resistivity RequirementWhen specified inthe contract or purchase order, the product furnished shall becapable of conforming to a specific resistant of 1.13 V/mm (+ 5 %) at 20C when tested in accordance with Test MethodB 193.8.2 Coeff
20、cient of Thermal ExpansionWhen specified inthe contract or purchase order, the product furnished shall becapable of conforming to a coefficient of linear expansion of0.000 019 (or 19 3 106) per C, in the range 20 to 200Cwhen tested in accordance with an appropriate test method.9. Mechanical Property
21、 Requirements9.1 Tensile Strength Requirements:9.1.1 Product furnished under this specification shall con-form to the tensile requirements prescribed in Table 2 whentested in accordance with Test Methods E8.9.1.2 Acceptance or rejection based upon mechanical prop-erties shall depend only on tensile
22、strength.9.2 Rockwell HardnessThe approximate hardness valuefor alloy UNS C69100 lies within the range 69 to 76 RockwellB, being for general information and assistance in testing, andshall not be used as a basis for product rejection.NOTE 2The Rockwell hardness test offers a quick and convenientmeth
23、od of checking for general conformity to the specification require-ments for temper, tensile strength and grain size.10. Other Requirements10.1 Nondestructive Testing:10.1.1 Pipe or tube must be tested in the final heat-treatedcondition as supplied to the purchaser unless otherwise agreedupon betwee
24、n the manufacturer and purchaser. Unless other-wise specified, the manufacturer shall have the option oftesting the pipe or tube by one of the following tests:10.1.1.1 Eddy-Current TestEach tube or pipe in standardsizes18 in.
