Scope*
3、1.1 This specification2covers aluminum and aluminumal-loy seamless pipe in the alloys (Note 1) and tempers shown inTable 1 Table 2 and seamless extruded round tube in thealloys and tempers shown in Table 3 Table 4 intended forpressure applications. The standard sizes for seamless pipe arelisted in T
4、able 16.7 of ANSI H35.2 and H35.2M. Nonstandardalloys, tempers, and sizes of pipe are produced as seamlessextruded tube.NOTE 1Throughout this specification, use of the term alloy, in thegeneral sense, includes aluminum as well as aluminum alloy.NOTE 2For other seamless drawn tubes, see Specification

For extruded tube see Specification B221,and for structural pipe and tube see Specification B429/B429M.1.2 Alloy and temper designations are in accordance withANSI H35.1/H35.1M. The equivalent Unified NumberingSystem alloy designations are those of Table 5preceded b
6、y A9,for example, A91100 for aluminum 1100 in accordance withPractice E527.1.3 For acceptance criteria for inclusion of new aluminumand aluminum alloys in this specification, see Annex A2.1.4 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound unitsare to be regarded separately as standard.
