11、tion makes provisions Por first article inspection. Requirements for the submission of first article samples by the contractor shall be as specified in the contract. L. 3.2 Material 3.2.1 Composition.-The cellulose-nitrate sheets shall * be a homogeneous mixture of the required ingredients. Ingredie

12、nts used shall conform to the following requirements. Type I composition shall have a nitrogen content of 11.00 2 0.5 percent and meet the requirements of MIL-!J-244. The nitrocellulose used for Type II composition shall be Grade D in accordance with MIL-N-244. 3.2.1.1 Nitrocellulose.-The nitrocellu

Prior to submission, the contractor shall inspect the sample to the degree necessary to assure that it conforms to the requirements of the contract, and submit a record of this inspection with the sample, including statements of findings for materials, processes and tests, A sample c

15、ontaining known defects will not be submitted unless specifically authorized by the contracting officer. A first article sample, or portion thereof, as directed by the contracting officer, shall also be submitted whenever there is a lapse in production for a period of excess of 90 days, 1 or wheneve

The Government reserves 4.3 inspection Provisions 4.3.1 Lot formation.-The term “inspection lot“ as used in this specification is defined as an essentially homogeneous collection of uni

19、ts of product from which a representative sample is drawn and inspected to determine conformance with applicable requirements. only that quantity of units from which the sample was drawn and shall not be construed to represent any prior to subsequent quantities presented for inspection. Homogeneity

20、shall be considered to exist provided the inspection lot has been produced by one manufacturer, in one unchange process, in accordance with the same specification and same specification revision and complies with the provisions for submission of product as specified in MIL-STD-105. Changes to the pr

21、ocess or specification, not affecting safety, performance, interchangeability, or storage, as determined by the Government, shall not be deemed to alter the homogeneity of an inspection lot. All material submitted for inspection in accordance with this specification shall comply with the homogeneity

22、 criteria specified herein regardless of the type of sampling procedure which is being applied to determine conformance with requirements. The criteria and procedures for the assignment of lot numbers shall be in accordance The sample selected shall represent With MIL-STD-1168. 4.3.2 Inspection proc

23、edure 4.3.2.1 Examination.-Sampling plans and procedures for the following classification of defects shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-105. Contractors sampling plans, if used, shall be approved by the Government and shall provide as a minimum, the protection afforded the Government by the samplin

24、g plans in MIL-STD-105. Continuous sampling plans in accordance with MIL-STD-1235 may be used if approved by the proguring activity. Also, at the option of the procuring activity, AQLc an sampling plans may be applied to the individual characteristics listed, using an AQL of 0.40 percent for each Na
