CAPACITY The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Comercial Item Description (CID) for all federal age

2、ncies. 1. SCOPE. This CID covers requirements for a fifth wheel assembly used in coupling a truck-tractor to a trailer. 2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 2.1 Material. The materials shall be in accordance with the manufacturers material specifications for fifth wheels. The use of recovered material made in

3、 compliance with regulatory requirements is acceptable providing that all requirements of this CID are met (see 5.4). 2.2 * accordance with figure 1. . 8、UALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS . . The contractor is responsible for the performance of all . 3.1 inspections (examinations and tests). 3.2 ? ? ? . The contractor shall certify and maintain substantiating evidence that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this commercial item descri

9、ption and that the product conforms to the producer?s own drawings, specifications, workmanship standards, and quality assurance practices. Items with known defects shall not be submitted for Government acceptance. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to the f

10、irst delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. 4. PRESERVATTON, PACKAGING.PACKING, LABETJNG, -. Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking for the desired level shall be as specified in the contract (see 5.2). 5. NOTES (This section c
