CAPACITY The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description (CID)

2、for all federal agencies. 1. S2CP33. This CID covers requirements for a fifth wheel assembly used in coupling a truck-tractor to a trailer. 2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 2.1 Material. The materials shall be in accordance with the manufacturer?s material specifications for fifth wheels. The use of recov

3、ered material made in compliance with regulatory requirements is acceptable providing that all requirements of this CID are met (see 5.4). 2.2 * accordance with figure 1. . 8、er, and the part identification number (PIN) AA52543-1 (see 5.2). 3. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS . 3.1 lhqmmbhty for impcm * . The contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspections (examinations and tests). 3.2 a a e . The contractor shall certify and maintain substantiating evidence

9、 that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this commercial item description and that the product conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, workmanship . standards, and quality assurance practices. Items with known defects shall not be submitted for Government accept

10、ance. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to the first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. 4.
