SCOPE. T

2、his Commercial Item Description (CID) is for a high capacity, processor machine, radiographic film, automatic, stationary, developing, fixing, washing and drying of all standard brands of nondestructive testing x-ray film in an industrial environment. 2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 2.1 Power Requirement

3、s. The processor shall operate in accordance with requirements of this CID when supplied with 220 10% Volts, 3-wire single phase, 50/60 Hz, 40 amp maximum current. 2.2 Standby Mode. The processor shall have an automatic standby mode to conserve energy, water and wear by automatically shutting down t

4、he transport, wash and dryer systems when no film is being processed. 2.3 Display. The processor shall have a digital temperature display. 2.4 Feed Indicator. The processor shall provide an indicator to alert the operator that it is ready for additional film. 2.5 Weight. The maximum weight shall not

5、 exceed 700 lbs (empty). 2.6 Size. The processor, including feed tray, shall not occupy more than 12 sq. feet. 2.7 Warm-up. The processor warm-up period shall not exceed 25 minutes. The processor shall be capable of processing at least 55 sh

7、eets, 14 in x 17 in, industrial radiographic film per hour. 2.9 Auto Replenishment System. The processor shall incorporate an automatic solution replenishment system. The replenishment system shall be adjustable. 2.10 Film. The processor shall be able to accommodate all industrial types and brands o

8、f film in sheet and roll formats up to 17 inches wide. 2.11 Chemicals. The processor shall be able to use all commercial processing chemicals. 3. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS. The offeror/contractor in encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 2

9、3.403 of the Federal acquisition regulation (FAR). 4. PRODUCT CONFORMANCE 4.1 Product conformance. The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this Commercial Item Description, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards and quality assurance practices, and b

10、e the same product offered for sale in the commercial market. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. 4.2 Market Acceptability. The following market acceptability criteria are necessary to document the quality of the product to be provided under this CID. 4.2.1 The co

11、mpany producing the item must have been producing a processing machine, radiographic film, automatic, stationary, meeting the requirements of this CID for at least 2 years. 4.2.2 The company must have sold at least 30 units meeting this CID in the commercial market place over the past two years. 5.

12、PACKAGING. Preservation, packing and marking shall be specified in the contract or order. 6. NOTES. 6.1 Ordering data. a) Title, number, and date of this CID. b) Specify special packaging requirements. c) Contracting officer may request proof of certification of commercial item prior to first contra

Products manufactured to metric dimensions will be considered on an equal basis with those manufactured using inch-pound units, provided they fall within th

14、e tolerances specified in conversion tables contained in the latest version of FED-STD-376 and all other requirements of this CID are met. If the manufacturer elects to use metric dimensions as the basis upon which to derive or base a mechanical feature, a request shall be made to the contracting of
