O O O In addition, the Rules contain technical standards for telephones that, if met, ensure compatibility with magnetically coupled heari

31、ng aids. FCC Part 68 does not address performance of the CPE. To connect CPE to the telephone network for those applications covered by Part 68, the CPE must be registered with the FCC. The basis for registration is a standard application filed on FCC Form 730 (Ref A12) by the manufacturer (or vendo

32、r) with the FCC, guaranteeing that its product complies with, and will continue to comply with, the Part 68 technical standards. As part of the application, the manufacturer provides data obtained by testing the CPE for compliance with the technical standards. The manufacturer also provides a descri

33、ption of the test procedures used in the evaluation of the CPE and an explanation of how the equipment is designed to assure compliance with the technical standards. The FCC will determine from evaluation of this information whether to approve the CPE for connection to the network. 1 Copyright Elect

SCOPE This document covers test procedures, test equipment, and guidelines for determining compliance with the technical requirements

35、 of Part 68 FCC Rules and Regulations. Reference is made to the specific Part 68 Rule(s) applicable for the test procedure in question. It contains a proposal for one measurement procedure for each Part 68 technical requirement and, in some cases, an alternative procedure. However, these proposed pr

36、ocedures are not exclusive. Other measurement procedures and test equipment may be acceptable to the FCC. This document also includes test procedures for evaluating materials used for connectors (plugs and jacks) as specified in Section 68.500 of the Rules. In the event of conflict between Part 68 a

37、nd this document, Part 68 takes precedence. Additional information is presented in the appendices to this document. The test procedures do not cover the administrative or other equipment authorization procedures required by the FCC. The FCCs “Form 730 Application Guide” (Ref A17) Part 2 (Ref AI 1) a

38、nd Part 68, cover these procedures. The “Form 730 Application Guide” (Ref Al 7) also contain some technical interpretations of the Rules. The FCC updates these instructions frequently. Each test procedure assumes availability of current Part 68 Rules and consequently is cross-referenced to the appli

39、cable subsection of Part 68. Similarly, the Table of Contents provides a cross-reference to the Part 68 Rules. Section 4.5 provides a test requirement matrix that indicates the applicable Part 68 sections(s) and test guideline(s) for each specific network interface type. In addition, the matrix refe

40、rences the Rules which are applicable to passive devices such as specialty adapters, and cross-connect fields. Some of the tests prescribed in this bulletin may involve the presence of hazardous voltages and currents or other potential dangers. Some of these hazards have been identified, and appropr

41、iate warnings have been included in the text explaining such tests. Typical CO ringing consists of 2-second intervals o

46、f 20 Hz energy applied between tip and ring, followed by a 4-second quiet interval. This sequence is repeated until the called party answers or the call is abandoned. 0 Capture Level Equipment with AGC (Automatic Gain Control) signal power limiting has virtually no output signal power for input leve
