12、ng requirements 5 12 Qualification test procedures 6 1 Scope This standard covers the electrical and mechanical interchangeability of nonlocking type photocontrols for mounting within a roadway or off-roadway luminaire, herein called “controls.” These controls are commonly called “button” photocontr

17、s 4.1 Sealing A sealing means shall be provided between the control and the luminaire or mounting enclosure so as to prevent the entrance of rain, dust, and vermin. The sealing method must allow replacement of the control. 2ANSI C136.24-2004 (R2010) 4.2 Mounting screws Mounting screws, if used must
18、be captive to the control. 4.3 Mounting position Controls must be capable of mounting in any direction or position. An external light shield may be required for proper operation. 4.4 Dimensions The control must meet the mechanical and limiting dimensions given in Figure 1, unless specified by the us
19、er. The location of the wiring, depicted below in Figure 1, is a typical configuration. 20、-2004 (R2010) 5 Leads 5.1 Lead markings Leads from the control shall be marked and color-coded as follows: a) LINE, black b) NEUTRAL or COMMON, white. c) LOAD, red NOTE For 240 V controls, the NEUTRAL or COMMON lead may be yellow. 5.2 Lead length Lead length shall be 6 in. (15 cm) minimum. 5.3 Lead
21、size Leads shall be at least 18 AWG, rated for 105C or higher, and rated for 600 V. 6 Quick connect terminals Quick connect terminals, if provided instead of leads, shall be as follows: a) 0.187 in. x 0.020 in., male terminals on the controls b) Marked LINE, LOAD, and NEUTRAL or COMMON 7 Labels Labe
22、ls on controls shall provide, as a minimum, the following information: a) Voltage rating b) Load rating in watts or volt-amperes c) Frequency in hertz d) Manufacturers name and model number e) Manufacturers recommended maximum operating temperature. This shall be at least 70C. f) If surge protection
