2、F-29001A(MC), dated 10 May 1974. PAGE 2 Delete “two“ and substitute “three“. PAGE 3 3.1, line 3: 3.3: Delete in entirety and substitute the following: “3.3 Design and constpxtion. The solid state frequency converter described herein shall ba rapable of converting tactical utility class 2, 60 hertz (

3、Hz) 120/208 alt&nating current (ac) volts 2 5 percent, 3-phase power as defined iti MIL-STD-1332, to 400 Hz power and shall be designed to prevent excessive degradation of source power, either commercial or mobile electric power, when the frequency converter shares the source with other 60-Hz loads.

13、. without injury, an indefinite Short circuit at its output terminals during any of the specified operating parameters, The frequency converter shall also support a 140 percent load for a 1-minute period without injury or detrimental effect on reliability and shall not cause any component to be stre

14、ssed beyond its continuous duty ratings.“ PAGE 9 3.6: After subparagraph (g), add the following: I “(h) The frequency converter shall be equipped with suitable over- temperature prptection which will prevent any consequential damage to the frequency converter in the event the cooling fan shall fail

15、for any reason, the air intake or exhaust ports become obstructed, the ambient temperature becomes excessive, the equipment becomes overloaded, or any combinaLion of the preceding causes. i (i) The frequency converter shallnot be damaged by input voltage fluctuations which fall below 80 percent or r

16、ise above 120 percent of nominal value for an extended period. to a maximum continuous input of 15 percent of the nominal value. The protection shall be effective (j) The frequency converter shall incorporate circuitry which shall cause the frequency converter to trip its output circuit breaker in t

17、he event that the output voltage shall exceed 115 percent of the rated nominal value. The output voltage protection shall respond within 1/2 cycle of the output. (k) The frequency converter shall incorporate protection provisions which will prevent cascaded component failures as a consequence of a r

18、andom failure. power semiconductor devices as a result of random failures in the drive logic or as a result of random failures of switches in the output power s ys terns. 21、equency converter shall be operated at 150 inclination to normal in four different directions and the test results recorded. (n) The frequency converter shall be operated, without failure, for a total of 1,000 hours, including hours accumulated in above tests. (o) The frequency converter shall be te

22、sted for parallel operation both with a 12.5 KVA frequency converter from existing inventory and with another frequency converter developed under current procurement.
