PURPOSE This standard aim at specifying the methods of testing immunity of the vehicle electric parts and electronic systems against electromagnetic wave generated from the wireless phone or high output transmission antenna by applying the narrow band electromagnetic wave
4、 to the vehicle wiring harness bundle. 2. SCOPE This standard applies to all electric parts and electronic systems in the vehicle that may function erroneously influenced by electromagnetic wave. (Engine ECM, TCM, ACM, ABS, air bag, etc.) 3. DEFINITION OF TERMS 3.1. BCI (Bulk Current Injection) A me
5、thod of inducing high frequency current to the wiring harness. Unit of current injection is mA. 3.2. Threshold The value of current induced at the point where electric parts or electronic system operate erroneously 3.3. Standing wave ratio Ratio of the wave at which the ratio of an instantaneous val
6、ue at a point to that in another point does not vary proportional to the time for a certain component of electromagnetic field. It is usually generated by the reflected wave. 3.4. Carrier Continuous electromagnetic wave having one or more characteristics that can be changed by modulation based on a
7、known value and repeat and change to the time 3.5. Parameter A basic item to be designated in performing test or establishing a system 3.6. Injection probe A probe clamped around wiring harness to induce high frequency current 3.7. Monitoring probe A probe clamped around wiring harness to measure th
8、e induced current 3.8. 9、rcuit 3.10. RF (Radio Frequency) Radio frequency 3.11. Coupling Coupling of circuits 4. TEST EQUIPMENT 4.1. RF signal generator Signal generator having a minimum frequency band width of 1 400MHz. The RF signal generator used by GMDAT is HP 8657B. The used frequency is 100KHz 2GHz. 4.2. Audio power a
10、mplifier Audio power amplifier having a minimum frequency band width of 1 400MHz. The audio power amplifier used by GMDAT is Amplifier Research 150L(100KHz 220MHz) and 200HA(220MHz 400MHz). 4.3. Current injection probe Injection probe having a minimum frequency band width of 1 400MHz. The injection
11、probe used by GMDAT is FCC F-130A and F-140. 4.4. Current monitoring probe Monitoring probe having a minimum frequency band width of 1 400MHz. The monitoring probe used by GMDAT is FCC F-42 and F-51. The output voltage (Vout) of the measuring probe shall be converted to the induced current (Iind) by
12、 the following formula: Iind(dBuA) = Vout(dBuV) - Zt(dB ) Zt : monitoring probe transfer impedance 4.5. System controller Controller to control test equipment and software 4.6. System interface The system interface used by GMDAT is System Interface 200 of EMC Auto-Mation. 4.7. Attenuator The attenua
13、tor used by GMDAT is Weinschel Associates 20dB, 30dB and 40dB. 4.8. Data monitoring system Data monitoring system mainly used by GMDAT is TESEO AFOM MF. 14、ON: 3 GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology 4.9. Power meter The power meter used by GMDAT is BOONTON 4300. 5. TEST CONDITIONS 5.1. Test temperature & supply voltage Heat is generated in the test facility when the vehicle is operated during the performance of the test. Sufficient cooling must be provided to e
15、nsure that the engine does not overheat. The ambient temperature of the measuring equipment during test shall be 235. For test requiring engine driving, electric charging device shall be available. For test not requiring engine driving, the battery voltage shall be kept to at least 12.2V for the 12V
16、 system and 24.4V for the 24V system. 5.2. Frequency range The test frequency range for vehicle electric/electronic devices shall be 1 400MHz. In BCI test method, the frequency range is related to frequency characteristics of the current probe. To expand the test frequency range, a current probe sui
17、table for the test frequency range is required. 5.3. Modulation Prior to test, the types of frequency and modulation to apply to the test vehicle shall be determined according to the test sample. Unless specific value is agreed on, the following modulation type is used: a. No Modulation - CW CW : Co
18、ntinuous Wave b. 1KHz Sine Wave Amplitude Modulation 80% 5.4. Dwell time At each frequency, the test sample/system will be exposed to the test application level of minimum response time required for sample control. In all cases, the minimum exposure time to electromagnetic wave is represented by the
19、 following formula: tmin 2S 5.5. Frequency steps Test shall be performed to the maximum frequency step size as shown in Table 1. Test severity levels The tester shall enumerate eve
22、ry severity level in the test frequency range. The proposed test severity levels are shown in Attachment 5. These test severity levels are represented being converted to the equivalent RMS of unmodulated waves. 6. TEST SYSTEM DESCRIPTION AND STANDARDS 6.1. BCI system BCI is a method of performing im
23、munity test by inducing electromagnetic interference signals directly to the wiring harness with the injection probe. The injection probe passes through the wiring harness of the test sample by way of the current transformer and changes the frequency and severity level of the electromagnetic interfe
24、rence to carry out immunity test. BCI is used for immunity test of each independent system in the vehicle. 6.2. Injection probe and monitoring probe Attachment 1 shows BCI test equipment set-up.
