PURPOSE This standard aims at correctly evaluating performance of components of the remote keyless entry (hereinafter called “RKE”) and remote engine starter (hereinafter called “RES”) system transmitter and the immobilizer system transponder used for passenger ca
4、rs manufactured by GMDAT. 2. SCOPE This standard applies to components test of the RKE and RES system transmitter and the immobilizer system transponder used for passenger vehicles. 3. DEFINITION OF TERMS 3.1. Remote key transmitter A device which transmits high-frequency signals, which are modulate
5、d into function codes of the door opening/closing signals and security codes, to the receiver installed on the vehicle to perform door opening/closing 3.2. Transponder Having information related to the key code and encoding in the internal memory, it uses the internal antenna coil and toroidal coil
6、to perform communication, which involves the immobilizer, key code and encoding information. For operating power, it uses induced voltage between the transformer-type internal antenna coil and toroidal coil. 3.3. Modulation Mixing of coded digital signals with the carrier high frequency in order to
7、transmit the former to the air 3.4. RF (Radio Frequency) power Atmospheric wave power coming from the transmitter (Measured 3m in front of the transmitter) 3.5. Remote engine starter key A device which performs start or off of engine except functions of remote key transmitter 4. TEST CONDITIONS 4.1.

Standard test condition Unless specified otherwise, test is conducted under the normal standard test condition specified in KS 0006 (Standard atmospheric conditions). 4.3. Number of samples Unless specified otherwise, 12 samples shall be provided for DVP. 5. TEST EQU
10、IPMENT 5.1. Generals Measuring instruments used for test shall basically be calibrated by the national calibration institute and within the effective calibration period. 5.2. Thermostatic chamber Capable of maintaining temperature from 40 to +90, it shall have a minimum capacity of 100 liter. It sha
11、ll also be able to control relative humidity at each temperature to 95% with permissible error not exceeding +2 per temperature. 5.3. Vibration tester It shall be capable of performing test to KS R 1034 (Vibration Testing Methods for Automobile Parts). 5.4. Control device for durability test It shal
12、l be capable of automatically supply and cut-off voltage for module operation, detect defects and record progress time and number of cycles in durability test. 6. TEST PROCEDURES 6.1. Appearance test 6.1.1. Visual test (1) Conduct visual inspection (2) When observed visually, the module shall show n
13、o sign of harmful flaws, cracks, or other defects that may adversely affect the performance. 6.1.2. Dimensional test Specified samples based on KS B 5203 (Vernier Callipers) shall be used. Samples shall meet material requirements of the deign specifications and dimensional requirements in drawings.
14、6.2. Performance 6.2.1. (2) Unless specified otherwise, measuring shall be conducted at 3 test voltages within the operating voltage range. 6.2.2. Transmitter RF(Radio Frequency) performance (1) Test place : EMC chamber (2) Measuring positio
16、n (3) Measuring method : With the log periodic antenna installed at the height of 1m, operate the transmitter from a point horizontally 3m away from the antenna to measure the transmission output and transmission frequency with a spectrum analyzer. 1m1mLOG PERIODICANT.TRANSMITTER3mFig 1. 6.2.3. 17、rity code test When function test is performed after security codes of any 5 transmitters are stored to the test sample using the diagnostic equipment, it shall operate normally without developing any troubles. It shall not operate by the action of transmitters other than those five whose codes are
18、stored. The security codes shall not be erased after power to the transmitter is cut off 6.2.4. Transponder reading test (1) Construct the immobilizer system to the design specifications equally. (2) Check if the operating distance between the immobilizer unit and the toroidal coil for normal commun
19、ication meets that specified in DWG such as push force, stroke. (3) In the above test, the toroidal coil shall remain inserted to the key cylinder. 6.2.5. Button operating effort test Measure the operating force with a force meter at the very center of the operating button by gradually applying the
20、force. Abrupt application of an excessive force shall be avoided. The result shall meet the requirements. 6.3. Electric resistance test 6.3.1. Reverse-voltage test - Test voltage : - (Max operating voltage)0.1V. - Test time : 2 minutes. - Test temperature : Standard test temperature under normal tem
21、perature and humidity. 6.3.2. 22、ton with 1 second ON and 5 second OFF as 1 cycle. The total number of cycles specified in DWG shall be met. 6.4. Weather environmental test 6.4.1. High temperature exposure When the initial performance is measured following 1 hour drying under the normal temperature and humidity after exposure to th
23、e following conditions, the transmitter shall operate normally and each performance value shall stay within the specified allowable range. In case of RES key, confirm to relevant DWG. (1) Test temperature : +853 (2) Test time : 96 hours 6.4.2. Low temperature exposure When the initial performance is
24、 measured following 1 hour drying under the normal temperature and humidity after exposure to the following conditions, the transmitter shall operate normally and each performance value shall stay within the specified allowable range. In case of RES key, confirm to relevant DWG. (1) Test temperature
