2、RSION: 1 GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology 1. PURPOSE This specification specifies the test methods and requirements for lower pressure LPG hoses. 2. SCOPE This specification is applied to lower pressure LPG hoses that connect vaporizer and mixer in automobile that LPG is used for fuel. 3. NOTES Samples o

3、f materials or parts that follow this specification shall be approved by Technical center before mass production & delivery. In the event of any deviation from this specification, it is the sole responsibility of the supplier to inform the purchaser of all such deviations. Furthermore, the supplier

4、shall submit the modified sample for reapproval by Technical center before mass production & delivery. 4. CONSTRUCTION OF HOSES The hose wall shall consist of tube (NBR), reinforcement and cover(CSM), adhering with each other firmly in sequence. 5. TEST PIECE AND ITS QUANTITY The form, size and numb

5、er of test pieces shall be as specified in the relevant EDS test specification. 6. CONDITIONING OF TEST PIECES The conditioning of test pieces shall be carried out according to the relevant EDS test specification. 7. TEST EQUIPMENT The equipment shall conform to the relevant EDS test specification.

6、8. TEST METHOD The method shall conform to the relevant EDS test specification. 9. REQUIREMENTS OF PROPERTIES The tests and evaluations shall be performed according to the relevant EDS test specification. Tube Cover 9.1. Hardness to EDS-T-7403 65 5 60 5 SHORE A or IRHD 9.2. Place the test piece under immersing in ASTM fuel “C” according to EDS-T-7419 for 48hours at room temperature, and then measure the properties. 9.7.1. Change of hardness -30 +2 SHORE A or IR

11、HD max. 9.7.2. Change of v olume 0 +50 % Change of v olume after dry 10 % additionally for 48hours under room temperature 9.8. Compression set to EDS-T-7424-C2 : This test is only applied to tube material. Requirement : 40% max. 10. REQUIREMENTS OF HOSES 10.1. Cold flexibility 10.1.1. Procedure Expo

13、 seconds 180 around a mandrel having a diameter 8 times the outside diameter of the hose. 10.1.2. Requirement : The hose shall not fracture and shall not show any cracks, in the inner tube or cover. 10.2. Heat resistance (hose) 10.2.1. Procedure Expose hose sample of 150mm approximately in a straigh

14、t position for 300 hours in a cold chamber at 100 3K and bend the hose at a steady rate in a period of 4 seconds 180 around a mandrel having a diameter 8 times the outside diameter of the hose. 10.2.2. Requirement : The hose shall not fracture and shall not show any cracks, in the inner tube or cove

15、r. 10.3. Ozone resistance ( EDS-T-7405-2H2U ) : No cracks 10.4. Leakage and Burst test 10.4.1. Test procedure One end of the hose must be covered tightly not to leak, another end is applied by 1.5 bar of air for 5 minutes. After that, inspect the hose for local constriction, deformation and any defe

16、cts. 10.4.2. Requirement : There must be no leakage, local constriction, and any deformations 10.5. Negative pressure resistance test 10.5.1. Test procedure1 One end of the hose must be covered tightly not to leak, another end is applied by the negative pressure, which is as lower as 150 mm Hg from

17、atmosphere for 5 minutes(i.e.610 mm Hg). After that, inspect the hose for local constriction, deformation and any defects. 10.5.2. Requirement : There must be no constriction and any deformations. 11. AUTOMOTIVE RESTRICTED HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES Materials and components of parts must comply with EDS-A

18、-0101. 12. CODING SYSTEM This specification shall be indicated in technical drawings and other specifications as follows. “EDS-M-7220“ 13. DEVIATION Deviations from this specification or additional requirement shall be agreed. These shall be indicated in relevant part drawings or specification and r
