12、recommended to demonstrate the degree of uniformity of any color field of a display device. For Simplification, references are made to a CRT monitor, but the principles of this procedure can be applied to other types of displays. This procedure does not identi limits or tolerances, but offers the us

13、er a standardized method which can be used to compare numerical values of color field uniformity. OPERATING PARAMETERS OF MONITOR Set up monitor according to TEP-105-1 1A. Choose the appropriate number of measuring points for the display area size. Choose additional measurement points, appropriate t

14、o the display area, which appear to a normal viewer to be slightly nonuniform. MEASUREMENT TECHNIQUES Simplified version - no luminance variation considered. Record (%y) for each point identified in clause 2, above. Convert (%y) to (u,v) coordinate system as outlined in TEP-1 16-B, page 9. Determine

15、 the two points which are farthest apart fiom one another in the (u,v) coordinate system. The equation used to determine the color difference between two points is: D - /(u, - u)* + (v, - Y;)? 3.2 To take into account luminance, the NBS measure of color perception is given by: Aw - V(AL) + (Au? + (A

The user is cautioned to

17、 take this into account when performing measurements and using this procedure.
