This Commercial Item Description covers a flammable liquid storage cabinet. Sali

2、ent characteristics: The flammable liquid storage cabinet shall be designed to permit safe, convenient, storage of all kinds of flammable liquids close to work areas. The cabinet: shall have nominal dimensions of 65 inches high, 43 inches wide, and 18 inches deep . The cabinet shall have two hinged

3、doors suitable for manual closing, two full length shelves, and a lock and key for security purposes. The cabinet bottom, top, and sides shall be 18 gauge steel of double walled construction with 1-1/2 inches of air space between the walls. The doors shall each be 20 inches wide and raised 2 inches

4、above the bottom of the cabinet. The shelves shall be 14-3/4 inches deep and each shall be capable of holding 15 gallons of canned liquids for a total cabinet capacity of 45 gallons. The cabinet shall be equipped with four adjustable leveling feet. The cabinet shall be finished with baked enamel of

5、a caution yellow color. The wording “FLAMMABLE - KEEP FIkE AWAY“ shall be stencilled in large red letters across the front of the doors. cleaned or primed prior to finishing. All cabinet surfaces to be welded shall be free from grease, oil, dirt, or other foreign material. All weld joints shall blen

All exposed corners and edges shall be broken, rounded, or otherwise treated to eliminate sharp edges. The cabine

8、t shall be free from oil, grease, dirt, or other foreign material. The cabinet shall conform to the requirements of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Publication 30, Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code. Occupation Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements. The cabinet shall a

9、lso comply with Workmanship. from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability. The flammable liquid storage cabinet shall be free - Unit. Each (EA). One cabinet, as specified, constitutes one unit. Quality Assurance Provisions. Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwi

10、se specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any facilities suitable for the performance of the

11、inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. Records. for

12、the contractor shall be maintained by the contractor and made available to the Government upon the Governments request, at any time, or from time to time, during the performance of the contract and for a period of three years after delivery of the supplies to which such records relate. Inspection, a

13、s used herein, is defined as both examination (such as visual or auditory investigation without the use of special laboratory appliances or procedures) and testing (determination by technical means of physical and chemical properties) of the item. The contracting officer has the option of accepting or rejecting the product. Contractor

The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description and conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance p

19、rior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract, Regulatory requirements, Federal Food, Druq and Cosmetic Act, If the product covered by this document has been determined by the U,S. Food and Drug Administration to be under its jurisdiction

20、, the offeror/contractor shall comply, and be responsible for compliance by its subcontractors/suppliers, with the requirements of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, as amended, and regulations promulgated thereunder. in addition, the offeror/contractor shall comply, and be responsible for com

The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered material in accordan

22、ce with Public Law 94-580, as amended, and as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 23.4 to the maximum extent practical. Preservation, packaqing, packinq, labelinq, and markinq. Unless otherwise specified, preservation, packaging, and packing shall be to a degree of protection to pr

23、eclude damage to containers and/or contents thereof under normal shipping conditions, handling, etc., involving shipment from the supply source to the receiving activity, plus reshipment from receiving activity, and shall conform to applicable carriers rules and regulations.
