2、rrosion-resistant steel Petri culture dish can with a lift-out rack. . Salient characteristics. Shall be a Petri culture dish can for holding 100 millimeter (mm) diameter size Petri culture dishes with covers. Shall be suitable for holding Petri culture dishes during a heat sterilization process, an

3、d for use as a sanitary dust- free storage container for the Petri dishes. Shall consist of cylindrical can with a telescoping lid and a lift-out rack that fits inside the can. The can, lid, and rack shall be made of corrosion-resisting steel that is polished with a No. 3 finish to facilitate cleani

4、ng. The can and lid shall be fabricated from a minimum No. 24 United States Standard Gage (.O25 inch thick) corrosion-resisting steel conforming to type 304 of ASTM Designation A 167. The seams of the can and lid shall be soldered with a non-toxic silver solder. Shall be supplied with a lift-out rac

5、k having the capacity to hold and stack 12-100 X 15 mm commercial designated size Petri dishes (with covers) or 15-100 X 10 mm commercial . designated size Petri dishes (with covers). The rack construction shall include a circular base with two vertical frame members. The lift-out rack shall be dime

6、nsioned to fit freely inside the cylindrical can. The base shall be fabricated from a minimum No. 22 United States Standard Gage (.O3125 inch thick) corrosion-resisting steel conforming to type 304 of ASTM Designation A 167. members shall be 1/2 inch wide minimum strip fabricated from a minimum No.

The outside body of the can shall be encircled with a halfhound bead, located approximately

9、two (2) inches below the top edge, to serve-as a shoulder for the telescoping lid in closure. Shall be supplied with a lid cover that has a nominal three (3) inch height and an inside diameter that is dimensioned to provide a snug fit on the body of the-can in closure. The nomminal overall height of

10、 the assembled can (i.e. with telescoping lid in place) shall be ten (10) inches. WorkmanshiE.
