The CCSB is engaged in the production of voluntary standards in a wide range of subject areas through the media of standards committees and the consensus process. The standards committees are composed of representati
4、ves of relevant interests including producers, consumers and other users, retailers, governments, educational institutions, tech- nical, professional and trade societies, and research and test- ing organizations. Any given standard is developed on the consensus of views expressed by such representat
5、ives. The Ministers Advisory Council on CGSB reviews the results of the consensus process. The CCSB has been accredited by the Standards Council of Canada as a national standards-writing organization. The standards that it develops and offers as National Standards of Canada conform to the criteria a
6、nd procedures established for this purpose by the Standards Council of Canada. In addition to standards it publishes as national standards, the CCSB produces standards to meet particular needs, in response to requests from a variety of sources in both the public and private sectors. Both CCSB standa
7、rds and national standards developed by the CCSB are developed in conformance with the policies described in the Policy Manual for the Development and Maintenance of Standards by CCSB. CCSB standards are subject to review and revision at any time, so as to ensure that they keep abreast of technologi
8、cal progress. Suggestions for their improvement, which are al- ways welcome, should be brought to the notice of the stand- ards committees concerned. Changes to standards are issued either as separate amendment sheets or in new editions of standards. An up-to-date listing of CGSB standards, includin
9、g details on latest issues and amendments, and ordering instructions, will be found in the Catalogue of Standards and Qualified Products Lists which is published annually and is available without charge upon request. Although the intended primary application of this standard is stated in its Scope,
10、it is important .to note that it remains the responsibility of the users of the.standard to judge its suitabil- ity for their particular purpose. Many tests required by CCSB standards are inherently hazard- ous. The CCSB neither assumes nor accepts any responsibility for any injury or damage that ma

Angle Tolerances - With the exception of any twilled weave item the warp and shoot (weft) wires shall be perpendicular to each other after mounting within a maximum deviation of 8 from the perpendicular based on the mean direction of wires over several meshes. 2Y sin O= - W.
22、 where: W is the nominal aperture size Y is the tolerance for average aperture size. Wire Diameter Tolerances - The wire diameters given in Table 1 apply to woven wire cloth mounted in a frame. They are preferred nominal sizes and are particularly recommended. The nominal sizes of the wire diameters
23、 specified may, however, depart from these values within a permissible range of f 15% of the nominal values given in Table 1, TEST METHODS Every aperture in the metal wire cloth in a test sieve shall be eligible for inspection for compliance with the requirements listed in par. 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3. Whe
24、n a sieve has 20 apertures or less, all apertures shall be measured. In other cases the examination shall proceed in stages from a survey of general condition, to a methodical scrutiny of individual apertures, and finally to measurement of aperture size for compliance with the tolerances.
