The CCSB is engaged in the production of voluntary standards in a wide range of subject areas through the media

Both CCSB standards and national standards developed by the CCSB are developed in conformance with the policies described in the Policy Manual for the Development and Maintenance of Standards by CCSB. CCSB standar

8、ds are subject to review and revision at any time, so as to ensure that they keep abreast of technological progress. Suggestions for their improvement, which are al- ways welcome, should be brought to the notice of the stand- ards committees concerned. Changes to standards are issued either as separ

9、ate amendment sheets or in new editions of standards. Materia

35、l to this standard is primarily intended for use in above-grade building construction and on the interior of below-grade building construction. This standard is not intended to apply to vapour barrier materials for use under concrete slabs or as ground cover in crawl spaces. This standard does not a

36、pply to polyethylene vapour barriers which are covered by CAN/CGSB-51.34-M, Vapour Barrier, Polyethylene Sheet for Use in Building Construction. 47、r.6.5 from one side of the material to the other. CLASSIFICATION Materials shall be supplied in the following types, as specified (par. 9.1): Types Type 1 - Low permeance (par. 6.5 and 9.2.1) Type 2 - Standard permeance (par. 6.5 and 9.2.2). GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Appearance - The material shall have

48、a uniform appearance and shall be free from visible defects such as holes, tears, blisters and pinholes in accordance with good industry practice. Blocking - The material shall not stick together to an extent that will cause tearing or damage during unrolling. DETAILED REQUIREMENTS Sheet Width - The nominal width of the material shall be as specified (par. 9.1). When measured across any part of the material, the actual width shall not be less than 99.0% of the specified nominal width. Length - The length of rolled material shall not be less than that s
