8、dard 60335-2-42 (fourth edition, 2000-03), currently available from IEC in English only. This CSA Standard supersedes the previous edition, published in 1994 as CAN/CSA-E335-2-42, Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 2: Particular requirements for commercial electric forced c

9、onvection ovens (adopted CEVIEC 335-2-42:1987, including Amendment 1 :1990). It also supersedes CSA Standard CANKSA-E335-2-46- 94, Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 2: Particular requirements for commercial electric steam cookers (adopted CEI/IEC 335-2-46:1986, including A

10、mendment 1 :1990), which is being withdrawn. This Standard was reviewed for Canadian adoption by the CSA Technical Committee on International Standards under the jurisdiction of the Strategic Resource Group, and has been formally approved by the Technical Committee. 16、 CSA Foreword The Canadian Standards Association (CSA) develops standards under the name Canadian Standards Association, and provides certification and testing under the name CSA International. CSA International provides certification services for manufacturers who, under license from CSA, wish to u

17、se the appropriate registered CSA Marks on certain products of their manufacture to indicate conformity with CSA Standards. CSA Certification for a number of products is provided in the interest of maintaining agreed-upon standards of quality, performance, interchangeability and/or safety, as approp

International Standard IEC 60335-2-42 has been prepared by subcommittee 61E: Safety of electrical commercial catering equipment, of IEC technical committee 61: Safety of household and similar electrical appliances. It forms the fourth edition of IEC 60

37、335-2-42 and replaces the third edition, published in 1994, amendment 1 (1996) and amendment 2 (1998). It also replaces IEC 60335-2-46, published in 1986 and its amendment 1 (1990). 43、ls with the safety of electrically operated commercial forced convection ovens, steam cookers, steam-convection ovens and, exclusive of any other use, steam generators, not intended for household use, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V for single-phase appliances connected between one pha

44、se and neutral and 480 V for other appliances. NOTE 1 These appliances are used for example in kitchens such as in restaurants, canteens, hospitals and commercial enterprises such as bakeries, butcheries, etc. The electrical part of appliances making use of other forms of energy is also within the s

45、cope of this standard. So far as is practicable, this standard deals with the common hazards presented by these types of appliances. NOTE 2 Attention is drawn to the fact that - for appliances intended to be used in vehicles or on board ships or aircraft, additional requirements may be necessary; -

46、for appliances intended to be used in tropical countries, special requirements may be necessary; - in many countries additional requirements are specified by the national health authorities, the national authorities responsible for the protection of labour, the national water supply authorities and

47、similar authorities; - in many countries additional requirements are specified for pressure appliances. This standard does not apply to appliances where the cooking process is not only carried out by direct steam contact but also with the food partially or completely immersed in a liquid; appliances

48、 designed exclusively for industrial purposes; appliances intended to be used in locations where special conditions prevail, such as the presence of a corrosive or explosive atmosphere (dust, vapour or gas); continuous process appliances for the mass production of food; microwave ovens; appliances w
