Scope*1.1 This specification covers requirements, test methods, and marking requirements
3、for system components when tested withnominal SDR9 crosslinked polyethylene (PEX) tubing as a system. Systems are intended for 100 psi (0.69 MPa) water service upto and including a maximum working temperature of 180 F (82 C). Requirements and test methods are included for materials,workmanship, dime
4、nsions and tolerances, burst pressure, hydrostatic sustained pressure, excessive temperature and pressure,corrosion resistance, and thermo-cyclingthermocycling tests. The components covered by this specification are intended for use inin, but not limited to, residential and commercial,commercial hot
5、 and cold,cold potable water distribution systems or otherapplications such as reclaimed water, fire protection, municipal water service lines, radiant panel heating and cooling systems,hydronic baseboard heating distribution systems, snow and ice melting systems, geothermal ground loops, district h
6、eating, turfconditioning, compressed air distribution, and building services pipe.1.2 The text of this specification references notes, footnotes, and appendixes which provide explanatory material. These notesand footnotes (excluding those in tables and figures) shall not be considered as requirement
