A superscriptepsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope*1.1 This specification covers requirements, test methods,and marking requirements for sy
3、stem components when testedwith nominal SDR9 crosslinked polyethylene tubing as asystem. Systems are intended for 100 psi (0.69 MPa) waterservice up to and including a maximum working temperatureof 180F (82C). Requirements and test methods are includedfor materials, workmanship, dimensions and toler
4、ances, burstpressure, sustained pressure, excessive temperature and pres-sure, and thermo-cycling tests. The components covered bythis specification are intended for use in residential andcommercial, hot and cold, potable water distribution systems orother applications such as municipal water servic
5、e lines,radiant panel heating systems, hydronic baseboard heatingsystems, snow and ice melting systems, and building servicespipe.1.2 The text of this specification references notes, footnotes,and appendixes which provide explanatory material. Thesenotes and footnotes (excluding those in tables and
6、figures) shallnot be considered as requirements of the specification.1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas the standard.
