Scope1.1 This practice covers symbols used on heating,ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) detailed engineeringdrawings.1.2 These symbols may be useful on contract and prelimi-nary design drawings.1.3 This international standard was developed in accor-dance with internationally reco

4、gnized principles on standard-ization established in the Decision on Principles for theDevelopment of International Standards, Guides and Recom-mendations issued by the World Trade Organization TechnicalBarriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.2. Significance and Use2.1 When symbolic representation is requ

5、ired for an itemnot covered in this standard, the character of the symbol shallbe adequately identified and shall be subject to one interpreta-tion only. If necessary, a note shall be attached to the symbolfor further clarity.2.2 Symbolic representation does not require exact or scalelayouts of the

6、actual system. Therefore, the symbols may beused in all views of the system layout.3.
