Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope*1.1 This specification covers cold-expansion fittings usingmetal compression-sleeves for us
3、e with crosslinked polyethyl-ene (PEX) plastic pipe in accordance with Specification F876in38-in.,12-in.,58-in.,34-in., 1-in., 114-in., 112-in., and 2 in.nominal diameters, whereby the PEX pipe is cold-expandedbefore fitting assembly. The components covered by thisspecification are intended for use
4、in residential andcommercial, hot and cold, potable water distribution systems orother applications such as municipal water service lines,radiant panel heating systems, hydronic baseboard heatingsystems, snow and ice melting systems, geothermal under-ground pipe systems and building services pipe wi
5、th continu-ous operation at pressures up to and including 100 psi (690kPa), and at temperatures up to and including 180F (82C).1.2 Included in this specification are the requirements formaterials, workmanship, dimensions, and markings to be usedon the fittings and compression-sleeves. Performance re
6、quire-ments are as referenced in Specification F877.1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas the standard.
