Ordering Information4.1 Flanges ordered under this specification shall i

8、ncludethe following:4.1.1 ASTM designation, title, number, and date of thisspecification,4.1.2 Type and material,4.1.3 Nominal pipe size,4.1.4 Quantity, and4.1.5 Inspection of items shall be agreed upon between thepurchaser and the supplier.5. Dimensions and Tolerances5.1 DimensionsDimensions shall

9、be in accordance withTable 1.5.2 Tolerances:5.2.1 Plus or minus14 in. on outside and inside diametersshall apply on flanges of 22 in. nominal pipe size and above.The tolerance for flanges for 20 in. nominal size and belowshall be 618 in.5.2.2 Plus or minus116 in. on bolting circle.6. Drilling6.1 Num

Workmanship, Finish, and Appearance7.1 Flanges manufactured under this specification shall befree of all sharp edges, burrs, projections, weld spatter, andother defects t

17、hat might be hazardous to personnel orequipment, or both.7.2 Welding shall be in accordance with the AmericanBureau of Shipping Rules for Building and Classing of SteelVessels,ABS GradeA,American Welding Society PublicationsD 1.1, or ASME Code Section IX.7.3 Flange faces shall be smooth and free of

18、projections orindentations that would prevent effective gasket seals.7.4 Flanges when completed shall have no distortion,roundness, or flatness exceeding a tolerance of 618 in.7.5 The surface finish shall be a minimum of 500 in. toensure proper sealing surface for the gasket.7.6 The material to be u

19、sed for this specification shall be inaccordance with Specification A36/A36M, unless prolongedhigh temperatures will be required; in that case ABS Grade Asteel shall be specified in Section 4. For further guidance forselection of materials, see Practice F1155 and CFR 56.30-10(b)(5).8. Rejection and

20、Rehearing8.1 Flanges that fail to conform to the requirements of thisspecification may be rejected. Rejection may be reported to theproducer or the supplier promptly in writing. In case ofdissatisfaction with the damaged items, the producer or thesupplier may make claim for a rehearing.9. Certificat

21、ion9.1 When specified in the purchase order or the contract, thepurchaser shall be furnished with certification that samplesrepresenting the flanges have been inspected to meet therequirements of this specification. When specified in thepurchase order or contract, a report of the results shall befur

22、nished.10. Packaging and Package Marking10.1 Flanges shall be marked on the edge of each flangeshowing the purchase order number, ASTM designationnumber, material and type, size, and name of manufacturer.10.2 The flanges shall be packaged in a manner acceptablefor shipment by common carrier.11.
